i'm a 19 year old nanny who attends a local college to become an elm.school teacher. I guess you can call me a girlytomboy who loves to fish, workout, cook/bake , camp but also paint my nails @ the same time.

My Question is this: How do I approach a guy w/out looking like a ****. A nice guy too. (only the jerks seem to approach me)
GUYS!! I'm kinda of a shy girl whose not all flirty flirty but I would like to have a boyfriend who I can do all these things with ya know? I always see guys looking at me and some yell but alot don't come up to me.

I don't like clubs/bars, the mall, or places with big crowds in general and the gym its awkward because i'm all sweaty and stuff from working out so it makes it awkward I think.

All I want is a nice guy who enjoys the same stuff I like to do and who makes me laugh but I AM BEGINNING to lose hope!
It seems like guys are "brainwashed" to be aholes and not nice guys.

I don't care if a guy is extremely smart as long as he has some common knowledge and we can carry a decent conversation.
I never mentioned that I "Can't find a date" I said only the guys who think they are all that and a bag of chips are always the ones askin'. So how do I ask the nice ones out myself without looki

I am 17 and unfortunately one of the only "nice guys" left on earth. We are a dying breed. You see, nice guys dont really...reproduce. So we are heading for extinction.Haha! But seriously, with some time and luck you will meet a nice guy. Just dont lose hope and go date a jerk, because I can garuntee you a "nice guy" will come along then.

I assume the word in asterisks begins with an s and ends with a t. Don't be afraid to approach guys. The only way he will think you're a s**t is if you agree to have sex with him right away. Otherwise, he will quickly learn you are not one. Most girls are far too worried about trying to look like nice girls (though many are s**ts anyways). The real question is internal - do you think you're a **** or not? Keep in mind there's nothing wrong with having sexual feelings. If you know you're not a s**t then why worry about what he thinks?

Let the people you know and trust know that you are in the market for a boyfriend and just what you are looking for. Most of the guys that I've met on my own have turned out to be total jerks. A friend from work knew that I was 'looking' and she introduced me to the nicest man I've ever met and we've been together for almost a year.

The best way to find a guy with your same interests who doesn't suck or think you are a slut is to join some type of social setting or organization that involves the activities you mentioned. You can find like minded individuals and have an pre-set reason to talk to them without looking like a weirdo. Peace out.

Iwould check with your college to see if there are any clubs or activities that are envolved in the things you like to do...the outdoorsy stuff. I would assume that there are a lot more guys than girls who would be into this and you may be able to meet a guy with similar interests to start as friends with.

These are always the best relationships anyway.

In all honesty....unfortunatly I might add...in order to get a good guy and have him respect you, you have to play games with his head (it's not hard to do...men are simple creatures) and make him think the whole idea of you two together was his idea and let him make all the beggining moves...ie: asking the first date, letting him call, ect...as prehistoric as it might sound, this is really the only way to do it...just keep and eye out for good candidates in the places you spend alot of time...and then go from there...subtly let the guy know that you're wanting to go camping, fishing or whatever it is you like to do, but you'd like another person to go with...

Relax, you're 19 and still young. Just smile a lot, look at the guys you like and you'll appear more friendly and approachable. Still, no rush, you're young and the right guy will come soon.

Try joining some clubs for things that interest, or do some volunteer work in your community. That should give you the opportunity to meet more people. Check your school newspaper for organizations available to you.

The hard part is finding out who YOU are and since you already know that....maybe it's he who should be looking for you. Apparently most of the guys you notice aren't right for you so just ignore them and keep on keeping on. Good Luck!
