I am a single, straight, successful, educated, 28 year old male. I have no interest in getting a girlfriend, much less getting married and having children this early in life. I just can't believe how many of my unmarried friends are panicking because they are almost 30 (like that is old) and are not in any kind of a relationship yet. I have only gone on two dates in my entire life and they all took place 5 years ago. Believe me, there are much more important things to do right now! My friends mock the fact that I haven't even had my first kiss yet or even my first passionate hug! I think it's funny and provides something to look forward to! People my age are also in a rush to move out and waste their money on rent when they already live close to work, have no kids or wife. Is my generation simply bonkers or what?

Alright. I am sixteen and I have a boyfriend who is seventeen. We have almost been going out for a year now.
We are completely in love and I know we are, we love each other with all our hearts. Please don't say anything about you don't know what love is or any of that BS. I know what love is..

So we recently have started taking about sex. I never planned on having sex until i was engaged or completely in love with someone and i knew it. I guess I'm just old school like that. I never would have thought I would find my true love this early in life, but I guess how it was supposed to be.
I want to get on birth control and my boyfriend wants me to get on it too. We want to be completely safe. We will use condoms too. I just want to know, how i can bring up ME getting on birth control to my mother.

my question: Is there any easy conversation starters on this? I don't want to feel awkward, even though I already feel a little nervous on how she will react. Advice on how to approach this?

My aunt and uncle are getting a divorce and they have two daughters, both of which are legal adults. My uncle is my blood relative and I am 14. My uncle is visiting us for Christmas so he is here right now. When he filed for divorce my aunt did alot of hurtful things to everyone and my 2 cousins did as well. Today I recieved an e-mail from my aunt & 1 of my cousins. It was all happy sounding and they apoligized for our gifts being late because they didn't get them in the mail soon enough.

It seemed as if they didn't think I knew about everything, but I do. My parents and uncle thought I was mature enough to know what was going on in our family.

Should I show my parents and uncle the e-mail? Do I respond? My parents told me that we would probably never talk to them again and we shouldn't expect anything from them this Christmas. It's like they are trying to cover up what is going on for my and my brothers sake eventhough we already know.

I am wondering if generally, parental control is fair to be imposed on grown children of legal age as long as they are still dependent on their parents financially.I'm miserable that my parents are this way.I'm almost 28 years old, however,I still can't be financially independent from my parents until now,and depends on them financially on almost all of my needs and wants as of the moment.My"sort-of" previous relationships didn't work out mainly because my parents have been bestowing strong parental control over my life and didn't approve of those guys that I almost got into a relationship with. I didn't have a choice but to obey my parents since they want me to, otherwise I would have been left with no financial support from them. It seems to me that my parents want me to do certain things that I don't like, and which will be not morally and/or legally wrong if I don't do them. They just want me to do these things because they just think that I'll lead a much better life if I do them.

I currently live in Georgia for 3 years.
My husband had decided to divorce me while hes deployed in Iraq. he found someone else. I cant prove adultery. i dont care.
he doesnt want to be with me..Ill leave.

We have a child.

NOw, this is where I need help.
In Georgia - to file for divorce youneed to be resident. or request divorce from someone hos resident for 6 years.

I want to move to Texas, who has their own 6 month resident requirement

He gets back in 3 months.
I will only be California resident for 2-3 months when he gets back.

Does that mean he has to wait 3-4 months before he files for divorce against me in Los Angeles?
Or does he just file for divorce against me in Georgia (which I will no longer be a legal resident)

AND

He receives BAH for us in Georgia.
If I live with our child .. does he still require to pay for our rent
until we are divorced finalized?
Or since we move from Georgia,
I am on my own like he says I will be?

He says he will change allotment
Can he

You are stalking me again. And I know that. Nice try on the phone call, my parents haven't mentioned anything to me. My brother said that you called him. And to let you know, the next time it happens, actually I believe I will try to go ahead and do so tomorrow, you are not allowed to call me OR MY FAMILY, SO...when you see this msg., get your *** hole prepared because you are going to jail.

OH

And FYI-I wrote the last msg for something with Cosmopolitian. My friend asked me a question and I was going to tell her some good answers from people on here.

So stop running to my daddy everytime you want to whine. I'm his daughter I believe he will believe me over you any day, 1. Because I dont lie to him. 2. Because I've gained all trust back. and 3. I'm not a psychotic bi polar patient who is a pathological liar. The deal is two years no contact. Or else you go to jail and other consequences. The break up was 6 months ago. Go get a life.

So, since I graduated high school I've dated 3 different girls that all had the same thing in common. They all cheated on me at some point. I've been cheated on before and ended it but it kills me when they cheat and then end it...I feel like they got the upper hand on me. Personally, yeah it doesn't feel good but I hold myself like I can get whoever so it doesn't bother me in a large sense. I just hate when it feels like they get the upper-hand and dictated how it ends. I guess I may be kind of a control freak but girls do you feel like you gained something by ending it yourselves instead of the guy?

I visited my relatives, and they're fun and everything, but I get so self-conscience. My cousins seem so cool and perfect, and they have these inside jokes and they're so exclusive, and only the funniest, most attractive, most-outgoing people can hang out in their inner-circle of people. My dad says I won't fit in with them because I'm from their mom's side of the family, instead of their dad's, and, to make matters worse, they're over 4 years older than me. They'd probably accept me a little more if I was more outgoing, but these are people I've known my whole life. I can't go from kinda shy to really outgoing, they'd think I was crazy. I'm not emo or anything, so I'm not anti-social, but I lose all of my self-esteem as soon as I see them. I guess I just need some help figuring out what to do to be appreciated. Thanks so much for your help!

My ex and I separated and he moved out and into the home of another woman. He does not want me to date because I'm still in the home that we purchased together. He says I shouldn't bring another man in our married home and in front of our kids. I'm not taking about somebody sleeping over because I would never do that in front of my kids. I'm talking about somebody picking me up from the home or coming over to watch a game or movie.

I am so heartbroken/disappointed and its christmas today! My father and his family are emotionally/mentally abusive. My mother, brother, and I have suffered many years of emotional torment and mental breakdowns because of my father's sick twisted manipulating antics. He is sick, literally! My parents have seperated since the past few months, but father and his family are still not done with their dirty manipulating deeds. They have turned my own brother against my mother and I, and it breaks my heart so much that I have lost my brother to their manipulative antics. They have completely brainwashed my brother into thinking that my mother is the bad person and she is the reason for the entire break up and the reason why I don't speak to my own father. My father is a total loser and sick for making my own brother (who I love so much) to be against me. I don't know what to do, and everytime I try to talk to my brother he thinks I am telling him lies. I don't know what to do anymore...

Me and my boyfriend have been together for 3 1/2 yrs together. He's 32 and im 23, hes a great guy allot of fun. He loves the outdoors and always takes me with him everywhere, even out with his friends. When people see us together they think we just barely met since were always laughing, touching (not perverted) and kissing. He has his own home, no kids, and never been married. About 4 mths ago I moved in with him and our relationship has gotten even better due to living about 40 minuntes away.
When I told my friends that I will be getting married next year they told me that it would be a big mistake. Said that its going to mess things up and whats the point of getting married anyway. Now im thinking about it and i'm worried. Would it really make a difference just signing a piece of paper saying were husband and wife??

I just asked my gf of 2.5 years to marry me. She said yes, and we are so happy!!
Her unsaved father has never supported our relationship, and is not giving his blessing.
We have tried to honor him and respect him all this time, but he is just divorced and hates marriage.
We are strong Christians, and have asked our pastors for advice, I just fig'd I'd come on here and see others perspectives.
My ?? is, how do i address this? What is the most Godly way to answer him?

If you are not ging to give advice in the spirit of sincerity, please don't leave any answers at all.
Thank you.
Jesus Loves you all.

My boyfriend and I of 3 years and 8 months recently broke up. This is the second time this has happened and is around the sametime of year. Everything was going great we were getting along great. He was even bringing me dinner!!! He just thought we should take time to ourselves since we are in our first semester of college and we are so stressed. It has now been 5 weeks. Throughout it though I was asked on a date and I didn't go and he knows that but he still wants to pout at me about it. The other day he said that he thinks of me everyday and catches hiself wanting to pick up the phone and call even though we have talked at least once a week throughout this. However he said he still doesn't know if we will get back together, but feels that hopefully everything will work out in time. Will he come back around?? Should I just "disappear" for a few week and then pop back up after I have given things time or will he already be over it?
