My bf and I are planning to have a small thing in front of a few family members stating our vows to each other. However because we can't afford to be legally married we're being judged!? :-( He's on disability and if we marry he loses too much right now. We're deeply in love and if it weren't for the government having control of his money we'd be planning the legal part as well. My questions is... Why do some people see us as sinners because money is keeping us from making it legal? We're both Christians and he attends church every Sunday. I'm still not comfortable with church because I feel like we're judged every time we go. We had one woman tell us that hi even holding my hand was a sin. It's just disgusting to me that even in "God's house" as the preacher calls our church we're still being judged by "holy rollers" :-( He's even saving himself for me until we've shared our vows. I made the mistake and had sex at a young age.

My boyfriend is ALWAYS flirting with other girls. He is always messing around with his ex, and that makes me mad. We are in our 30's & have been living together for about 4yrs. So, really we don't *need* anything. We registered at Bed, Bath & Beyond and Target ~ most of the stuff we picked out was either to get a matched set or upgrade. Their were a few items we added that we want, but don't really need.

Anyway ~ even though we were at each store for *hours* I think we ended up registering for less than 80 items total.

What about everyone else ~ did you register for a lot? A little? How much of it did you need? Did people buy from your registry?

(I know it's an inane question ~ forgive me, I seem to be obsessed w/everything wedding related :) And like to hear stories from other brides.)

A week ago, I sent my ex a text message asking him if he knew what was going on at a local club on New Years Eve. Since then, he's been calling and texting me. We've been apart for a pretty good while now and we ended our relationship on good terms. Today, he sent me a text and asked me if I still loved him. I told him that while he would always be special to me, my feelings for him had changed and all we would ever be was just friends. I told him I was sorry if I had hurt him, but I couldn't help the way I felt. He acted like he was mad (for lack of a better word) that I hadn't fallen back into his arms. He told me I must have never really cared for him and he figured I must already be with someone else. I was trying to let him down easy, but he seemed to be really hurt. He loves me. I ended things with him. Does it sound like I was too harsh with what I told him? I want us to be friends, but only friends. I can't be in a relationship with him. Did I do something wrong?

So my fiancee (now boyfriend) and I were set to get married may 24 2008. Dress is bought, hall is paid for yada yada ya... and now unfortunately our funding for it has been messed up so now we have absolutely no money for the wedding. So it is now postponed for at least 3 years. How do I handle this? Now we cant stop fighting and I spent all day crying my eyes out at work... I dunno what to do. Our parents won't let us get married without the big ceremony for our families to be there at least (which totals about 100 guests) and really I know I am an adult and don't have to listen but it would mean the world to me if they were there. Please help me get through this. I don't know who to talk to.

My bf and I have been dating for the past 6 years. Recently, we have been having a lot of problems around the whole marriage issue. I am definitely ready to spend the rest of my life with him, but he is very focused on medical school, and cannot give me any insight as to when he thinks he can be ready to have a life with me. My high school "best friend" dropped out a few years ago with passing grades. We lost touch but within a years time she had found me again. This time she had a baby. I was okay with it at first. She is 19...does not drive legally...and is on welfare and wic. She works at Subway part time and she is engaged and pregnant by a different man. I am so disappointed in her. I think she can be doing so much better with her life. She does not seem to care either. She thinks the world owes her for her mistakes. I told her how I feel about her life...and that I'd like to help her get on track. She ended up getting nasty with me and now does not want to talk to me ever again. What do you think? I want honest opinions. I am only trying to help her because I care about her.

It is this mixed girl in my class and she doesn't look mixed but you can tell. She only hangs around black people and she only talk to atleast 5 whites. Well lets get to the question part. My husband and I have been hanging out with another couple just about every weekend for a little over a year now. We're all really good friends. In fact, my husband and him have been best friends for about 10 years. We go places together. Our kids play together. All should be great! The problem is that I think my husband is sleeping with his best friends wife. Any time we're together, they always sit beside each other. They play around with each other. They're really touchy, feely with each other. I catch them staring at each other a lot and they act like they're sharing a private joke sometimes. Also, they always seem to find some reason to be alone together. Sometimes she has to ride with him to the store. Or he has to take something to her house "for his friend". It all seems a little suspicious to me. I've never seen anything really inappropriate happen between them. I just have a gut feeling there's more there than should be. How do I find out for sure? Help!

I just got out of a 5 year relationship, we are NOT getting back together and I need to find out who I am and keep myself out of another relationship until I do find myself. I've decided to go back to college and work on a buisness degree, and I'm currently working for Macy's. Any ideas of what I can do or how I can go about finding myself and who I am and what I like? While him and I were together his freinds were pretty much my friends I had none of my own really...but I discovered I like sports and things he liked, but I cant focus on what he liked, I want to know what I like but dont know where to start. I almost feel lost. Currently working is my life I do 40+ hours a week, and Id LOVE to move up there but I cant keep it as my life. Any ideas? Hobbies'd be good too!

I decided a long time ago to wait until I'm married to have sex. I am still going to stick with that promise. However, I am in a serious relationship with a man I love and things have really heated up. He respects my decision to wait and always tells me to let him know if he's going to far. i'm just curious. i would get mad if one of my best friends started dating/hooking up with my older brother. i cant explain why, but i would. My brother moved in with me this past june. I am gonna tell him he has to this june to find his own apt. is that enough time.
