I haven't seen or heard from my kiwi ex for over a decade, and a lot of water has gone 'under the bridge' since then. I have married, had children, settled down, but a part of me always wonders what he is doing, and how he is doing, and sometimes i just wish i could contact him and say hi. We shared a lot of big stuff together, and i'd love to catch up for old times sake.

Is it inappropriate to do this, even though my intentions are purely innocent? Maybe you should never contact an ex if you are married, even if you know you just want to say hi?

Any thoughts would be great.

A workman once sreamed at me wiping my hands on a utility pole, said "Don't wipe it on the goddamn cord!" I thought that was realy funny so I repeated what he said all the time.
I think it might be OK, nobody really cares, but some parents get uptight about it. They tell me, "I know your Dad talks like that, but I don't want you talking like that, around here"... Oh well.

My fiance and I just had a major falling out. I smashed the car today (my car) and after explaining to him it was my fault, he felt like playing video games and said he didn't want to deal with this right now. I asked for a hug, and he didn't want to give me one. So of course, i got upset... yeh, I sound needy but I really needed a hug, after all I was so upset and angry with myself, I didn't need him to be angry at me too. I said he should be supporting me and that he is not being there for me and he got REALLY angry to that. Who is in the right here?

I am a young grandmother and my grandson will be turning one next month. My daughter is going to have him a baptism/birthday party. I am undecided if I want to go because I do not like her boyfriends family there has been conflict because they are a no good family they do illegal activities. My daughter is 15yrs younger then this guy and I wish she would open her eyes on that environment for her son. I am not in good standings with my daughter because I told her she needs to be responsible and she got upset and stopped talking to me....I have a 2 year old who would enjoy a day at a party, but I don't have the guts to show up...I am confused and I wish i could report this family for all the bad they do....

Do you feel close to your step-kids or distant? Do you ever feel like you've lost yourself in the new family?

To put it briefly: she works, goes to school, and she’s also nervous around me. She told me no but regretted it the day after. She waited for me, changed her routine to coincide with mine after I changed, and acted distressed when I ignored her.

I gave her a second chance (her last chance btw) and she goes back to acting too busy for me. Granted, she really is busy but she doesn’t even stop to say hi. I think she’s content with our relationship being like this. However, I want us to become serious. Can anybody give me any advice?

I know love is not about getting turned one and love at first sight is just lust.

I know getting to know somone and their personalityliek a bestfriend. But is there has to be a way to explain it better.

I've gained a little over 50 pounds and I like to read romance novels more than I like to talk to my spouse.

Why doesn't he love me for who I am?

my friend beleives that, if someone is special to you, then commitment isnt needed in a relationship. But I dont think there really is a relationship without the commitment.

i met you one year ago
not knowing or caring who you were
and so the 4 months i should have spent with you went on... empty, blank
then fate gave us another chance
again i found you next to me
so i walked with you and i talked with you
and we started going out
and now as we walk hand in hand
i know deep down
there is no one else
its just you and me
and when blue meets brown
and we meet each others eye
i know it will always ge just us
you may never know how much to me
but know this and know it well...
i love you

so there's this kid in my class (8th grade) & he always picks on me. like he'll act like he's drawing highlighter on my back, just so i'll yell stop, & he'll rock my desk back & forth purposely just to annoy me. i'm not sure if he likes me or not; but two of my friends think that he might like me because they say he flirts with me sometimes. i really need help ! I know a girl loves to be pampered, but does a guy like it too?
Like, you know, being really cared for whatever you might need any given minute, gifted things, being served homemade food, being massaged, making sure u r comfortable....stuff like that.

Or is that too much care and attention for you?

Please tell me your views?

Ok, don't get me wrong... There's no reason my mom shouldn't meet my best friend. He'd be the last person you'd ever suspect of doing anything illegal just because he's too cool for that. He's funny, smart, understanding-basically the perfect best friend. But, he IS a guy. And usually you don't invite a guy over for a one-on-one meeting with your parents unless you're dating him, which I'm definitely not.
Also, I suggested having a party and inviting all my friends, which didn't go over well. She wants to meet HIM.
Oh, and don't call me a slut or anything because my best friend is a guy.. I've got 3 best friends. Two are girls from my old school, and this one guy is from my new school. My mom knows my other two best friends. She loves one and thinks the other one is a bad influence (apparently-sp?-she's too emo...).

Sorry that it was so long... But for those of you that read and understood it...
What should I do??

Thanks to everyone that answers this...

When you loose someone you love I gotta know.
I got the Social Security papers in the mail today telling us about the benefits because he died.
I saw him at the funeral home. That was so hard. Had to be strong for the kids.
But today in the mail those papers it seemed just as hard.

I am a Stay at home dad and think that my wife is abusing our relationship and monetry situation because she is the sole money earner.
Before you all start sticking the knife in; I paid cash for our house and all landscaping payments approx $190K, her only input towards home was our section and that was approx half of the section costs $14K (K = $1000.00),.
Now that I don't earn a wage whenever I spend any money on little things like a bakery lunch approx $8.00 once a week, or small amounts on gardening items possibly every month, (never over $20.00) she makes me feel like I was spending our last dollar and I feel very guilty, but whenever she wants something like tickets to a concert $125.00 or new shoes $70.00, money never seems to be a problem.
She may think that it is a joke to her but when she brings it up around other people I feel like I've been kicked in the guts.
This always happens when people aren't paying her enough attention and really makes me angry? Help Please!

This is going to sound weird, but I'm trying to figure out a place to go for a couple nights to a week. The purpose is to give my husband some time away from me and to himself to do whatever he wants to do. He never has ANY time to himself, and I'm constantly around him when he's not at work. I think a little seperartion would be healthy for our marriage and would give him a chance to actually miss me for once, ya know? The problem with that is that I can't just go to a friends house or my parents house or something and try to explain everything I just explained ... that's not really normal, lol. And plus my husband doesn't really like the idea. So I need to come up with a camp.. or a retreat... or something where I can spend a few nights away for a more legitimate reason. Does anyone have any ideas of where I could go without my husband to get away??
