Because kids repeat what they hear and that can cause trouble in day care and school. The need to be taught that those are not said in public and they learn by watching us. set a good example.

I think it is called respect. You would not want everyone around you to think you have a potty mouth. Cursing is a way to release bottled up anger and should not be used. There are other ways to vent or express how you feel in a mature manner. Plus, your kids will eventually use those words on you and how do you discipline them when you taught them those bad words yourself.

Well, many people swear, but those words can be very offensive to some people. Other people look at it as disrespect. When children learn swears, it shocks most people because children are supposed to be "innocent". Swearing is okay when the people around you are fine with it.

walking down the street you often hear worst things coming out of teenage mouths sometimes even younger. my two year old went through a phase where when she was frustrated she would say GOD well actually yellng God but i thought it was funny. but yeah i don't actually swear it is what she picked up at day care.

I didnt like people to cuss around my children either.. They are like little sponges and repeat everything they hear. Plus you should never use the Lords name in vain.

i know at first ur like oh who cares hes justa child.
but when they get older and it becomes a habit, its veyr disrespectful to the poeple around, and he cant go thru a sentace w.out swearing.

of course... but it's 2007... even if you DONT swear in front of your kids.. betcha, they will learn from school.. my little girl said a slang for the female part begin with a P! boy did she get a lecture on that's not a good word to say and this girl scared to say stupid in front of me.
