and hes just like..
ahh idk im tired theres nothing to talk about idk what to say
hes pretty quiet and we rarely talk on the phone because of this buut i just wish he would be more outgoing..
anything you think i could do to make him less shy or something? =/

Tell him that. I told my friend that he didn't talk a lot on the phone he has tried a lot harder now. Not a lot of guys like to talk on the phone.

Have interesting things going on in your life you can talk about. Maybe that pottery class u are taking or a new volunteer club you joined or something new u learned today or a new friend u made. Once you have stuff going on, you can introduce new stuff, and get his comments/opinions/feedback......on all that. Plus, u get to ask him questions too on whatever you were talking.
Ask him detailed questions. Not just "how was ur day?" but "oh how was lunch, what did you do?" or "what did you boss say about that proposal you put in yesterday". Get involved in whatever he is involved in. Draw him out. But don't overdo it and make it look like an interrogation. Make it a casual conversation....with both of u pitching in.
Added: And ofcourse, accept him as he is too. Love is all about just accepting the person as they are. Encourage him but don't pressure him. Learn to enjoy his company as he is.

how long have you been going out?
if it hasnt been a long time, he's shy, and you just need to find out what he likes to talk about.
if you've been dating for awhile, then he's either uncomfortable talking on the phone, or talking to you. I'm guessing the first one.
just talk more. fill the silence, and make him laugh, and he'll be talking in no time.

Stop and listen once in awhile. Some people don't realize it but they cut the other person off half way through the other person's sentence. If you do that, the other person will be reluctant to say anything.

guys dont really talk on the phone.
They tend to sound like theyre falling a sleep and not really interested.
It's more fun being with him in person anyways right? ;) dont worry about it too much.

i dont like to talk on the phone either. when guys talk on the phone theres supposed to be a point i hate it when girls call just to talk. if they want to talk then come talk to me in person we can hang out and find something to do y the hell does she call "just to talk" and not have anything to say on the phone?

try not talking to him on the phone. I myself hate talking on the phone. as a couple you dont have to talk every single second of every day. maybe he ran out of things to say to you. and to one girl who answered earlier communacation is key to a relationship. but small talk on the phone isnt.

take him out. and if you cant deal with it just tell him he's boring and that you need someone more outgoing maybe his senses will open up.
