As far as I know, no state in the union has a law against a teenage girl having an older friend that happens to be a boy.
And that's the way to present it.
Now, if you are saying sex is involved... that might be a problem. Many states have a "statutory" sex law, whether it's consensual by the under-age party or not.
If you have been keeping up with the news the last year or so, several female school teachers have been arrested for having sex with under-aged boys.
Even if you are planning to marry... you aren't married now. So, be very careful. Check out the laws in your state.
Good luck.

Its only illegal if your under 18 and they are 18 and older. Also its illegal in order to keep most younger teens safe from creepy guys and also to stop a lot of teens from marrying guys way older than them because that could be dangerous plus in most cases its just wrong.

The legal age of consent in most states is 16. If they have sex and the girl is younger than 16 and the boy is older than 16, the boy can be charged with rape or some equally serious felony. In Florida it is a little more complicated. There was a big thing in the news recently in Georgia because a 17 year old boy was sentenced to 10 years in prison because a 15 year old girl gave him a bj.

it isn't illegal to have a bf older than you. the law says that it is illegal to have sex with someone older than the age 18 if you are under the age 18. Thats all it is, you are free to go hang out with anyone.

It depends on the letter of the law in the state and possibly city you live in. In most (all?) places in the US it's legallity comes into question when the couple have sex. In some places there's accommodation for the ages of the couple being within 3 years or so. In others there's a hard line between people <18yrs and >18yrs. You should check out the statutory rape laws in your area to see what the specifics are if this situation applies to you on the sourced link.

it would depend on the age of both the girl and the guy, and if there had been any sexual contact. even if it was consensual, it would be illegal for a minor to have "relations" with someone over the age of 18.
