im 15 and my 19 yr old bro is in charge of me when my parents are gone. yesterday i came home and i had been around kids who were smoking but i wasnt smoking. my brother smelled it on me and rite away he started yellin at me and punching me. even if i do something little like get in his way wen hes watchin tv he'll get up nd start punching me in the face nd kicking me. he'll smile while hes doin it like its fun then afterwards he just says that i was being a jerk nd he had a reason to hit me. he hits me everyday unless hes at work. he always finds it my fault so he doesnt feel bad. he hit me really hard in the stomach once and i tried not to but i started crying cuz it hurt really bad. he called me a puzzy. i went in my room so i didnt have to cry in front of him. like 4 hours later he came up to me and he said he was sry. it was the first time hes ever appologised to me for hitting me. he gave me a hug nd it was a great momment. the next day he smacked me across the face 4 wearing->

Let me explain, my parents abandoned me, and my Grandmother was kind enough to raise me. She has back problems that makes it hard for her to walk, other than that, she is quite healthy. She's a Mother of 6, and has had 4 different Husbands(Pedophile, Wife beater, drug user, and cheater) and now her 5th Husband has left her...He has very bad mental problems, so there's not much of a chance of him coming back. I work full time, and she is an artist, so both of us can make it on our own. I'm the caretaker for this small "family" accept the only thing is, I am 15, and I find myself very inexperienced in talking to other people, mainly comforting them. Please, I need some help at comforting, she is VERY stressed out right now.

I was with my friend, my friends cousin, and his cousins friend. We were watching a movie in his cousins room and i was sitting on the bed and so was he. We were sitting kind of, not really close to each other. But during one part, he tapped my shoulder and pulled me down a little until i was laying he his lap. Then he put his arm around me and we just stayed there for a bit. What was that all about?

My boyfriend and I have been together for about 2.5 years. We've been talking about taking our relationship to the next level and getting engaged. I'm still in college and he's worried that when he asks my mom she won't want us to get engaged until I graduate. Okay here's the deal: This girl comes up to me at a football game out of nowhere. She's obviously drunk and she goes on about how she thinks I'm stalking her all over campus and that she finally wants to meet me. Then she gives me her phone number.

today i got this love note from this guy who really likes me
but in the note he was like

We've been living together 5 yrs. i would prefer 3-5x a week.. but it's more like 3x a month at the most! i love him, but this is driving me crazy. My daughter has a curfew of 2am on weekdays & 4am on weekends which my husband gave her (but that an entirely different issue). The issue is she does not come home at curfew. She lives at home but does go to college and works 2 jobs and I know she is not a party girl, but she is always falling a sleep at her boyfriend’s house and it's getting really old real fast. We have basically told her that if it happens anymore she might as well be out there and be grown. We are trying to support her by not needing to pay rent, food ect. However, we also have 2 other daughters 14 and 8 that may see this as if she isn't following the rules why should we. I am at my wits end I really do not want to see her struggle on her own but it seems there are no other choices if she will not respect my house and my rules as her parent.

When we were growing up we were very afraid of our dad.When I was a teenager i very rebellious and gave my dad a hard time and at this stage in my life i found out that he was having an affair with a lady who was in the same church.My mum knew about it but made the decision to accept it and chose not to leave him cos of us...the family.So for the past ten years he has been having this affair.After confronting my mum about this i decided to back off.And since then my relationship with my dad is bad .We dont talk at all even though we live in the same house.I hate what he is doin to my mum but just maintain respect for him cos im living under his roof.Nw the thing is dat he is butting into my private life by asking my friends what type of person i am and basically giving them a negative impression of me.He is clearly not happy with the way i live my life and forgets about the dirt that he does!His actions have destroyed the family.Wat must i do bout him cos a confrontation would be ugly!

hi! im 13 and my father os verbaally abusive nowaday. He calls me spoilt and stupid and idiotic-but it's nothing like that. Im the most disciplined kid you'de find. He swears at me sometimes. He talks behind my back of me being spoilt and he keeps on threatening to send me to study in india. And just because my friends are in a higher math class-he treates me kinda like im stupid. in india(that's where i come from), its not right to sweara at or call girls bad names once they"mature". I DID, but he still is mean, and frustrateda t me. My boyfriend still hangs out with his ex and it bugs the hell out of me because I know she still has feelings for him.

He tells me he hangs out with her so it's not like he's hiding it. He even goes to her on-campus apartment to hang out. Sometimes he takes naps on the couch. ~_~

He's told me time and time again I'm over reacting, but I'm not so sure. They went out for a year before breaking up, then shortly after we started dating. I've hardly interacted with her. The only time I've really seen her was at an anime convention where when she found out he was dating again made a whole lot of drama happen, pretty much ruining the con for me and him, and quite possibly a few other people.

I'm very insecure about myself since I have very little dating expierence. He tells me they are just friends, and he's not even attracted to her anymore...but I dunno...

Am I overreacting?

i really need a serious point of view. thank you very much.
ok, here's the thing. i'm 23 years old, 3rd year college undergrad, moved here in the states 3 years ago with my mother and brother so i can save enough money to go back to school. we're renting an apartment here so i have to help out with the bills too.
as of this moment, my mom has a part-time job, my brother is a working student and my dad was left back in our country w/ no job at all. i can't go to school here because i pay for over half of everything so i can't just have a part-time job.
i really want ot finish school so i can get a better career. but it's like my parents doesn't care at all.
my mom doesn't help out with the bills and my dad needs money. and my parents aren't even near retirement.
i mean at my age, i should have a professional job but it seems like they're holding me back.
so am i being selfish to think that i should just go back to our country and finish college and just think about myself for now?

Since the beginning of the year I found out that my husband has been in contact with an old girlfriend. I use the term girlfriend loosely, but you get the idea. Anyway, there was a plan in play for the two of them to meet again after many years. It did not happen. When I found out about it I was upset and confronted him. Originally we were to be friends w/ benefits, but I'm not quite sure what we are right now. It's been discussed that we are sexually monogamous, but can date other people. The other person encourages me to do but told me they can't handle seeing more than one. When we do hang out, I'll cook for them, they'll spend the nite, we'll go to dinner, to movies, parks. We talk 2-3 times a week and maybe hang out once a week (very busy work schedule). We've been seeing one another for about 2 months. They often remind me that they are not even potentially ready for a relationship, but we interact in dating/relationship ways. They say "I'm not looking for more than what we already have" which to me seems very relationship-like, but there is not commitment on either side. I'm very confused. Right now I'm ok with it - I mean it's only been two months and I really like them. I could see my feelings growing in time, tho. Should I go by their actions or what they are saying? Move on or wait it out?

okay, i have been with my husband for 4 years. after we met one of his ex girlfriends told him that her daughter was his. the little girl was 2 years old when he found out. at first he didn't think it was his. then she sent pics of the little girl, and my husband said that he didn't think she was his, because he looked like the guy she started dating after they split up. then his mother started keeping her everyother weekend, and all of a sudden he starts thinking that she is his. the first time we saw her, i couldn't handle it. everytime i looked at her, i just started crying. i don't hate the little girl, i hate that i feel this way, it makes me feel like a monster. i can't help the way i feel, but i don't know how to make it go away. i don't think that she is his, but he does. please don't criticize me, because i know that how i feel is wrong, that is why i am on here asking for help, if you have any ideas on how to make this feeling go away, please tell me!

My 17 year old son is a very emotional young man. He is very close to me and his dad and he's also very close to his grandma(my mom). What worries me is that he's the type of kid who is a little insecure and constantly needs emotional support and reassurance(which my mom can give him 24/7). Now I'm always there for him but he has this really strong bond with his grandma to the point where he feels the need to tell her everything. He calls her everyday and talks to her for hours. She loves him to death and is willing to listen especially because she's always home.My mom is 74 yrs old and ok as far as health but at this age their's always a possibilty of something suddenly going wrong and possibly losing her. I think if anything ever happens to her my son would be destroyed and I just don't know how I would handle it. I'm not jumping to any conclusions but just being realistic. BTW we do live a couple fo hours away from each other. Any advice pleaseeee.

I really like this girl's personality and enjoy talking to her, but I'm only attracted to her once in awhile. She has naturallly curly, frizzy hair (which I am just simply not a fan of) but she straightens it every once in awhile, which looks drastically better on her. I am a freshman in college and I have been living on campus with a roommate for 4 months. For the most part, I get along with her. She recently told me that she is PREGNANT! How am I going to deal with that? I know I won't be able to handle that. She is already starting to have mood swings and insists that I should do more chores around the dorm when she is the one who is completely messy! My parents are spending way too much money for my education and I am way to focused on school to have to put up with this situation. Am I being insensitive? Should I talk to my RA about possibly moving out? I'm sorry but I do not think I should be the one considering housing arrangements. I did not ask to have a pregnant roommate.
