I'm 20 and getting married in the end of January. All of my friends are off to college and I dont really have any close relatives. My sister lives 9 hours away from me and I doubt my mom would throw me one. My sister just got married and I threw her one, my church threw her one, her husbands church threw her one, and her mother in law & aunts in law threw her one. I dont mean to have a pity party but.. seriously... no one is going to throw a bridal party for me. I think that is really depressing and sad!! I know its not the focal point of getting married... but wouldnt that make you sad? So how tacky would it be if I lined one up? I don't know how much I like the idea of doing that but uhhhh.... I just wish I had family that cared about me... what do you think?

Would you do it? I met this great guy from Craigslist and it's like a dream because he is really sweet and genuine. We met last night and it was amazing. I'm turning 17 soon and he's only 19.

Yeah, I am lonely. But seriously. I am not into the romantic passion. Commitment with intimacy is my definition of love. My friends who believe in companion love have stayed together for over 10 years.

My mother-in-law is like the mother-in-law from hell. Just trust me when I say that, I have stories that you wouldn't BELIEVE.

She is very needy and acts totally helpless so that my husband and I will do everything for her. One day she pissed me off and I couldn't control my rage. I screamed and yelled at her, (I shouldn't have) but my daughter was in the hospital and she was nagging again...

Now, I am certain this is something I could have apologized for and we all could have moved on...BUT she has since done some of the most EVIL and NASTY things...

She has broken into my e-mail (and lied about it) and sent my husband conversations that I had with my best friend about her and used it to prove I wasn't as sweet as I looked...

She has tried to tell my husband to get out of the marriage before it is too late and has persisted in that for weeks....

My husband watches porn all the time, even at work. He and some of his coworker have purchased a laptop that they watch porn on...he belongs to several meet single website.....and has even called some of the people he has met.... I hate him for lying to me. I really get upset with the porn because we have 4 children -3 girls and 1 boy. I am afraid to leave the children along with him. I have told him how it makes me feel but his response to me is "it's what I do and I like it."
We have been married 16 years. I don't think I can go another 16...............He lies about where he goes, the website, even when he has been confronted with the truth. I hired a private investigator and he lied about pictures of himself and his special friend.

My ex and i broke up recently and to be honest, i haven't come into terms of accepting it. Maybe because i loved him sincerely. The thing here, i just discovered - from him, that he never loved even from the beginning of our relationship. That he only used me for some selfish reasons. I know there is no point crying over him coz he is not worth it but even though i bid my goodbye to him, personally... i find it so hard to just move on and forget about him. It has been a month now since we broke up but everything seems so fresh. He told me to not bother him and leave him for good. It hurts me so much but at the same time, i am mad at him. I feel like my world stop when he ended the relationship. I know, he is a prick, a jerk, name him anything but i still want him. Can you give me some sensible advice?

We live on opposite sides of the U.S and my husband just found out that his daughter talks of wanting to commit suicide when she gets upset. She is 15 and we are so worried and don't know how to handle this-she lives with her very controlling, mentally abusive other parent and stays away from her home quite a bit and spends alot of her time at a friends house that she considers her best friend. We are confused as to an approach-normally parents (divorced) would try together for an intervention or some type of solution, but that is not possible with the other parent as this person is very irrational and would only blame instead of look for a solution-needless to say the parents are not on good speaking terms and a peaceful conversation is simply not possible. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. The teen has no idea that we know these details and we want to be able to pull her out of her dismay. We've offered for her to come and live with us before but it has only caused problems.

My ex husbands girlfriend has been asked several times to stay in the car during drop off and pick up of my children. She and I had several falling outs and I really do not want her near me. I have emailed my ex regarding this and it is still an issue. She INSISTS on getting out of the car to get bags out of the back or to say goodbye to my children while at my house and has to come out of her house and get in my face when I have to go to his house. Is there anything that I can do to keep her from getting in my face? Is this a form or harrassment? Please help!! I really am at a loss here and need to know what my rights are.

Ok my wedding is in the middle of this November.... And I'll be sending out the thank you cards sometime in December. Would it be tacky to include something like happy holidays, or any reference to the holidays at all? We usually send holiday cards, but thought it might be nice to bundle them together this year. But then I started thinking maybe people will think it's tacky, trying to kill 2 birds with one stone by putting the wedding thank you and the happy holidays? What do you think? THANKS!

I am responsible for paying most all of the bills. I keep up with every dime that goes in and out of our checking account. I make all payment arrangements for our bills, if necessary. I go to work full-time just like he does. But when it comes time for him to remember something he can't do it. I am so stressed because I have to keep up with everything.

When I ask him "Did you put up the food" or "Did you pay your taxes or make arrangements" or "Did you call to have that late charge removed from your credit card bill (because it's his credit card and I'm not on the account)" he'll get upset and say "No, I forgot! Why didn't you remind me? You know I didn't do it so why are you asking me that?". He told me I like to point him out and there's no point in asking him about something that he can't do anything about now (because it's too late).

One time our lights were turned off because I forgot to make arrangements on the bill. What if I forgot to do something like that?

My boyfriend has always traveled a lot during our relationship because when we met, he was in the military. We were together for 4 years. Last year, when I was a couple of months pregnant, he said he was getting stationed in Germany and would be for the next 2 years. The last time I saw him was when I was 4 months pregnant. He said he was coming back in 5 days, and I haven't seen him since. I now have a 7 month old baby, and have come to find out that he's been married to a woman in the military, whom he lives with in Germany. Do I have any legal recourse? I am so irrate that he used me for so many years, and then left this beautiful child without a father. What legal action can I take, if any?

She obsesses over every calorie she consumes. She checks the nutrition facts for fat content and sugar and runs after she eats. The fact is, she's skinny and perfectly healthy the way she is!! She thinks she's fat and could lose a few pounds. We're only teenagers for goodness sakes!

Her parents think that I am a loser and just using her becuase I am dating someone who is 5 1/2 years younger than me. They have no interest in meeting me whatsoever. I want to make this work if at all possible because she is really special to me. Any advice would be very helpful...

My cousins who live in another state keep writing me saying that I'm talking about them behind their backs they are 23 and 26. I could care less what they are up to we don't keep in contact and I'm not saying anything. How do I get them to stop. This is ridiculous. Do they have nothing better to do than to lie to make me look bad to other family members?

My fiance and I are planning to get married in Hawaii in 2009. Because it is a destination wedding, we've already told family and friends about it so they could start to save up.

His parents and brother's family are saying that they won't be able to go because they can't afford it. I don't want to be rude, but we're paying for everything ourselves and all they'd have to do is fly out...isn't 18 months enough time to save?

Also, because my parent's are pretty well off they think I'm spoiled for having a wedding in Hawaii, and are giving me grief over it. They're being very vocal about their disdain, saying "Well, I would think it's more important to have your family with you rather than have a fancy wedding."

Both my HTB and I would love to have them with us, but we've always said (for 5 years now) that we wanted to get married in Hawaii. We have given everyone plenty of time to save up money, and we're trying to make everyone happy. It's so hard!

What should we do?

My husband and I were married 3 months ago. We have been together, in total, over 7 years. We always knew we didn't match but we thought loving each other was enough. Since the marriage, things have all changed. I used to be able to overlook our differences because he used to "work at" our relationship. Since the marriage, I feel like I'm doing all the "work". He used to thank me for doing things. Now he acts like he expects me to do it because that's what wives do. He tries to boss me around, he doesn't help as much as he used to, he acts like he's a king and I'm some kind of slave. To make matters worse, I work at home and he is unemployed and we have a 2 year old son. Not only am I trying to do my job, but I'm trying to take care of a house and my son and the bills and he acts like nothing is wrong. He gives me money from his savings and he thinks that's enough. I feel like we are heading for divorce, already. Is this just "new marriage" stuff like my family says? Help!

My husband lost his job 3 months ago. He's been interviewing and actively looking for a full time job. He's had no success. During this time he has become more and more distant. He recently told me he didn't love me romantically anymore an wanted a divorce. However, he wants the house. He can't afford the house without my contributions. My mother is a lawyer and advised that I get out immediately and stop putting money into the house. I want to get this over with as soon as possible but I also want to be humane about it. He wants me to wait til he has a job, mom wants me to leave now and put the house up for sale... She feels that his parents can afford to make the payments for him. I'm so stressed!! He and I are not angry with each other and are in agreement to divorce...I have no problem sleeping in 2 parts of the house until he finds a job and continuing to pay part of the mortgage. (his parents pay his part) WHAT SHOULD I DO?
