My boyfriend has always traveled a lot during our relationship because when we met, he was in the military. We were together for 4 years. Last year, when I was a couple of months pregnant, he said he was getting stationed in Germany and would be for the next 2 years. The last time I saw him was when I was 4 months pregnant. He said he was coming back in 5 days, and I haven't seen him since. I now have a 7 month old baby, and have come to find out that he's been married to a woman in the military, whom he lives with in Germany. Do I have any legal recourse? I am so irrate that he used me for so many years, and then left this beautiful child without a father. What legal action can I take, if any?

you know you should contact his commanding officer . let the commander know what is going on and you would like your child to have the child support he or she is due . take every legal recourse you can . You need to get an attorney also and they might be able to tell you what the next step is .good luck .

Yes, you may take legal action against him through the military. He will have to support this child's needs throughout as far back as when the pregnancy began. Prenatal care is not easy with no money or no insurance. Reporting him to the commanding officer will be one option. The military does have a judical system within the service itself. You will not have to wait for him to be in location when you file charges. You will require DNA testing to prove paternity. Even if he is married, he is still be responsible for insurance and other monetary needs that the child needs and will need.I am not sure if he will be processed and even dishonable dischared, that will have to be something that the military requires to decide. Just do not wait for him to come "home" to take action. This situation may also be tried as a civil suit.I am not a professional with military law, but I do know that they are held liable for their illegal acts. This person needs to be investigated to learn if there are other girlfriends or even other wives. Go after him.He deserves whatever punishment or legal responsibilty he earned. Take care and I pray for you and your little one a long and healthy life together.

Yes you have all the legal rights in the world.. You will have to have a DNA test for baby and when they give him his they will find out he is the father.. First, contact the branch of service he is in and tell them what is going on with you, the baby and this dead beat dad. He owes you lots.. i.e. medical bills and support for this kid... Oh yes, get to domestic relations and get started with a date for support and as soon as you sign the papers his support will start that day even if he does not pay right then.. In the mean time go to deadbeatdads.com and see what you can find out there.. Good luck and God bless you can write me at

You will have to see an attorney and you can get child support. You will have to have his address in Germany so child support papers can be served to him. Have the attorney to help you in anything that he can. The father of your baby will have to take a blood test to prove that the child is his. That is what my ex had to do when he got another woman pregnant while we were married. The child that he fathered now gets money for child support until he is 18.

The military is very hard nosed about their men fathering babies without paying child support. Get in touch with the military and be prepared for weeks of misdirection before you talk to someone who cares. Once you have this person on line things will move fast!

Listen my heart goes out to you because you were so trust worthy and were together with this man for 4 years and he came and went that should have told you something, how ever if this baby is his you can have a dna test and let him support this child thats it.
It took you sometime to grow up and see what men are really like and how he played you.
May god bless you and your child.

You can try to get support but that's about it hon.
The only other thing you can do is try to be a woman who doesn't go sleeping around with men. If you had waited and not slept with him unless he married you you would not have this beautiful child who will grow up without a father. You cheated her and yourself by your behavior, learn from that and try not to make the same mistake again.

The only thing you can do really is sue him for child support. You can also go to his commanding officer and explain what happened. They generally frown on that kind of behaviour. Good luck hun.

Now I get it, you couldn't keep your leggs closed now it is his fault that you made a bad decision. Gimme a break. Getting pregnant was your decision and now you want to make trouble for him. Get over your feminine self and accept what you did and take responsibility for your actions. The womens movement gave you that power. The downfall of this country is the women taking legal action for spreading their leggs, an act that they are totally responsible for.

Plenty. First of all do you know what regiment he is with if so write to his CO explaining the situation. Then if he doesn't respond go to the CSA they'll find him and if nothing else he'll have to pay for what he's done.
