My cousins who live in another state keep writing me saying that I'm talking about them behind their backs they are 23 and 26. I could care less what they are up to we don't keep in contact and I'm not saying anything. How do I get them to stop. This is ridiculous. Do they have nothing better to do than to lie to make me look bad to other family members?

My sister (younger, 20) fuels the fire, any advice on that? She keeps in contact with the cousins but we only see each other occasionally and when we do everything seems fine..........

Don't even feed into it. Most likely anything you say or do will only be twisted into more drama. Since they don't live near you just ignore it. Chances are they will move onto someone else that will give them the drama they are looking for.

Write a short and curt letter to your cousins,denying the allegation firmly and telling them not to fall so low.Do not worry about your image in your own family as every one must be realizing that you will not do anything as alleged.Lies have to be denied firmly without delay.

The people who know and love you know what you're about.....and the rest of them truly don't matter.....let it go or you'll make yourself nuts.

just tell them yes i talk about you all the time coz i have no life of my own .you cant pick your family they are with you or their not ..your better then that .good luck..
