The military only gets paid on the 1st and the 15th of the month. His first pay will be the 1st of November. If it's not then have him tell his drill sargent.

IF he is in Boot camp and based on the fact that he is at Ft. Jackson.
IN boot camp he is paid cash pretty much after all the deductins. He can send mopney home by Postal money order. It takes like 4 weeks fo rthe military to setup direct deposit to any bank.
Write him a letter and ask him if he has been paid. I can guarantee that during Basic training he does not have the opportunity or time to spend the money.

I went to fort Jackson and got my first pay before boot camp ended, so your husband should get paid any time now. It was a little confusing for me as it was 1) my first pay in cash,2) done the Army way. Wait until the last day of the pay period, which I suppose is the month of Oct, and then see. Good luck.

If the bank is an Armed Forces Bank, I believe they may be able to give you answers.
A local recruiter at the recruiting office should be able to help answer your questions, or guide you to someone who CAN.
If you don't know how to get hold of the recruiter or anyone in the army, then ask your local priest to help you (if you're RC).
You need to contact his chain of command and make sure he notified them that he's now married, and you need to contact the Army Ombudsman to give you help in knowing how to deal with a variety of problems that might crop up. That's what the Ombudsman programs are for... to help you...

He should get at least one check before basic training ends. From now on MAKE SURE that he enrolls in the military's "sure pay" program. That's the same as direct deposit.

Basically once you reach your duty station for Basic Training, you go to the DEFAS department and they will assist him with the payment ( direct deposit). Every 1st and 15th of the month he will be paid direct deposit into his account. Of course pay depends on rank. I would say call him, and tell him to talk to one of his Drill Sgts and ask them can he go to the DEFAS department to find out whats going on.

Honestly I really think you need to be worried more about your husband and if hes going to be sent to iraqi and possibly killed or comes back dismembered rather then a couple bucks
