Say someone you knew. Would you slap them? Hug them back? or just sit there til it was over? I know it depends on the person. Put are hugs really a display of affection anymore, or just an embarressment?

When I was 14, I made some normal mistakes teens do. My parents said I had broken their trust and were very harsh. I loved them and that broke my spirit. I did my best to get back their trust but they were extremely unforgiving ad it took a while. I made them proud of me, but could never see them *** loving parents anymore. Our relationship was destroyed, they did what no parent should ever do. Some people said I'd understand when I became a father. Well, I'm 55, have 2 great kids, a boy 25, and a girl, 21. In their teen years they made mistakes, of course, but we handle that with love, today they are 2 great young adults and we have a wonderful relationship. I wrote off my parents, though they tried to reconnect. But I refused, they hardly knowe my wife and my kids. I haven't talked to them for 25 years, to me they and my life with them are an extremely sad memory.
My father died yesterday and mys siter aked me to go his funeral, said my mom pleaded. But why? I see no point in this

so what's yours?

Ps: my purpose for this question is to know other people's problem, that people are striving out there too. that it's Not just me. It gives me courage to move on.. maybe what you're facing is a harder problem than mine, or not. I hope it all goes well with all you guys :)

my man and i don't get to see eachother often. it's a long distance relationship btw. we usually have things to do and friends to hang out with when we're together so it's not like it's boring. just wondering if anyone has any suggestions for some spontaneity. he and i are pretty open minded, like to be outdoors, whiskey, movies (comedies and scary films a plus) among other things. sexual suggestions are also appreciated:) thanks so much you guys!

She's married w/ kids,20yrs older, cheated on husband, touchy feely, and has been told by other women that they're interested.I've told her about my feelings years ago,we're still good friends-has its ups and downs, she calls me her goddaughter,we've had some long hugs, kissed on lips a few times in car/dark (accidental?),we're both religious. She says I'm too quite and that's sneaky to her.I am shy but don't hide my love-always there for her, my hugs are sensual.Fantasize daily.Have a hard time talking to her-don't know what to say/have anything to say-just enjoying our moments together. Told her weeks ago I wanted to meet up to talk to her-we live 1hr away-she says ok but nothing yet.Claims her days have been busy.Emailed her a poem saying some feelings, she says she's confused about it,I emailed back saying this is part of what I wanted to talk about, can we meet. She emailed a poem to me and others basically saying to pray. What 2 do? How do I conversate w/ her besides the basic how's ur day

alright, i was just in a long distance relationship his name was dan, me and dan broke up because i wanted another guy, someone who was close to me. Me and that guy that was "close to me" only lasted 1 day. keep in mind that im a teenager, so this is complicated. anyways, there are tons of guys in my new school who want me, and this one kid touches me all the time, he rubs my back, pokes me, and grabs my ***. i dont know if i like it, or what, but honestly, im wicked confused. im in the process of trying to get back with my ex, because i truely love him, but he's really far away, but for him, im willing to deal with the distance. but this other kid, really makes me think. he isnt as good looking as my ex or anything, but he's really nice, and sometimes i think about what a relationship would be like with him. im really in love with my ex and would do anything for him, but then this other kid gets in the way. i dont know what to do .. . help?

I have been with my boyfriend for a few years but we split up 3 times at periods when he told me that he needs to play the field and was temped by other girls. I was devastated but respected his choice and tried to get over it. He then decided that he had made a mistake each time about 2 weeks after each time we split and begged me to get back with him and because he had done nothing with anyone else and was so emotionally upset at the thought of losing me I took him back wearily. The last time this happened was a year ago and we are very happy now but I have flashbacks of all the times I did not feel good enough and feel unattractive. He tells me that he loves me but I feel I hold my love back at times and am distant because Im angry with myself for taking him back when I maybe shouldnt?

I am 32 and she is 1 mo. from being 23, I just found out that she thinks my son is lazy and not motivated, and she thinks he struggles in school (he doesn't struggle, he's an A,B student, I think he has just gotten bored and I have had to press on him a little bit lately)
She is an athlete and is very active, I feel that I have fallen for her but now I feel that it is wrong for me to love her. I do not want to love someone that feels this way about my son. This does not change the way I feel about her!!!!! I would just like some opinions...

i have known my friend since the 7th grade, now we are 23 so she has always been the church, formal type girl and it works for her, but i always thought she cared too much about appearances and what people thought, a lot of her life was just based on that and she did a lot of stuff in secret only i would know, not bad stuff just normal life stuff, going on a trip with her boyfriend, having an older boyfriend she was ashemed of it i guess and she was already 23 at this time living on her own, so now after like 2 years with this guy they break up cause she is not in love with him that she todl him that from the biginning and he was ok with it but she sent him mixed messages like i miss u i wnat to see u all that, so now he is very mad at her cause she used him and right after she started dating another guy who is scum but she is keeping it a secret too and she is drinking a lot and partying and the guy has a DUI so she drives him around, she slept with him on the first

okay, dont judge...it was my bro's b-day yesterday and we all went out to celebrate. there is this bartender at the local pub right up the road from my house and he constantly flirts with me. i made the mistake of one time making out w/ him to find out later he was married. sooooo....you think i would know better but they say alcohol clouds your judgement...anywho, apparently i made the same stupid mistake again after he gave me and my bro a ride home but i swear he came on to me (still no excuse, i know) now i feel horrible and am replaying the night over and over again in my head. when i go up to the pub again do you think i should say something to him? (like "sorry" or "you are a creep" "cheater") something along those lines??? or should i just pretend it never happened???

i know people out there are gonna call me a whore or slut or whatever....but dont judge cuz i dont care.

I'm married to my husband for about 8 years now, I just talk to my mother on the phone last night, she still hasn't seemed to be approve our marriage.
I was stuck in an arrange marriage, 8 years ago. My parents want to married me off to their best friend's son, but anyways I eloped with my husband instead, since we really loved each other. She said she had never forgiven my betrayal since, she behaved this way in front of my husband and innocent son. My father said infront of my husband many times, that he just earned him self a cash cow( I just graduated from my program) and when we got pregnant, I called my parents, the first thing she said is go get an abortion- she think I would worth more, if I don't have a baggage after I divorced him.
I so sick and tired of their cruel comments, but I can't dump them because they're my biological parents and my son is growing up around this cr*p what should I do?

quick info on me, 24 yrs old, drive mercedes clk 430, supervisor for landscape company and attend night school as auto mechanic. So future is looking good. I doubt that info is the problem but jus wanted to say it just in case. Here we go. I am black and have no problems with blk women as friend or relationship wise. But it seems whenever i flirt, go clubbing, try to start convo with white females, they go beserk. They give me a look like are you kidding, how dare you try to advance on me, or even dare be near me, and i'm like whoa calm down shorty. Its not that serious. Even casual convo, or in a bank line waiting to deposit your check, I always feel this hidden tension. Lately i have noticed its been easier to talk to a little more unattractive white women, but when it comes to the blonde and gorgeous brown hair (paris hilton) & (jessica alba)example.. I still get the that treatment like go away, your not worth me, and i'm like, you should be lucky i even gave you attention.

I think there's something wrong with my boyfriend we've been having sex for about 2 years now and I haven't enjoyed sex once. I've never had an orgasim during intercourse. But the problem i think is because my boyfriend can go for like 2 minutes straight then have to stop and slow down because he's getting close to having an orgasim. At most i think our sex lasts for about 15 minutes. And after that he cant be touched because he's very sensitive and therefore cant go for round 2. any suggestions on his part.

I am not judging anyones opinions or answers. Just a thought and to see what others think. When YA askers have a problem in a relationship it seems vast numer of people tell them to immediately get a divorce. Isn't this contributing to the divorce rate and showing the mindset in our society. I am not talking about physically abusive relationships. What do you think?

My husband was a controlling man & had a very nasty temper if things didn't go his way.

As a result we separated.

While living on my own, I got a lot of emotional support from some family friends of ours - a wonderful couple who lived just down the road from us. All along, my husband didn't know about this.

Things between my husband & I were slowly getting better over these past few months. Till yesterday, he found out about that I had been speaking to this couple!

Being the private person he is, he was furious. He said - if you and I are live together again, I don't want you ever talking to them & they are not welcome at our house either.

I chose my friendship with them because I said they helped me. He didn't say a word & just left.

For the first time in my life I was able to stand up to him. I hope he will change & begin to respect my feelings too.

Am I being realistic by hoping for this, or will this end in a divorce?
