Say someone you knew. Would you slap them? Hug them back? or just sit there til it was over? I know it depends on the person. Put are hugs really a display of affection anymore, or just an embarressment?

Well right now, I would be frightened, due to the fact I am alone at home. lol
I like hugs. Some people are not huggers. I think it's all the way you are raised by your parents, although we at home were not huggers, but I don't mind it. I would not slap somone unless they were being too forward in the advancement. Just a quick little hi how are you hug is fine. In this day and age you never know how anyone is going to react. Some people may take an advancement like that as a threat. I wouldn't do it unless of course it is someone that I knew.

I would hug them back even if it were someone I don't like. They probably need it anyway if I don't like them.

If it was a friend or someone i knew, I'd appreciate it, I recently broke up with my gf and it sucks a**. I miss her so much, my life feels empty without her.
I'd find it comforting from a friend.

if it was a complete stranger i would
just sit there for a while and walk away.
If it was a guy i knew I would slap him.
If it was my friend or family member i would just let
them hug me.

Well he/she hugging you is to comfort you etc so you should hug him/her back as a respect or appreciating his/her hugs.
