My mother started planning my shower and when we told my future MIL the tentative date she said she wanted to do a shower for just my fiance's side of the family. It seems a little excessive since both our families live in the same state. I'd rather just have one but if she wants to do this, I will accept it gratefully. She is going to be my MIL after all!

Anyway, my question is: are two bridal showers the norm? Most showers I have been to included both families. (Except ones where the bride and groom were from different states)

Sometimes I feel like football is more important to my fiance than the conversation we're having. He's also into baseball, but so am I, so I don't mind watching the games with him. But he watches EVERY sport. And not only that, but he watches literally EVERY game that we get on TV. Football, baseball, soccer, basketball. You name it, he's into it. But, I feel like it takes over his brain! How do I tell him without coming off like a b*tch that this offends me? His only solution is that I "get more into it", but I don't want to. It's boring and uninteresting to me. Help!

OK, this is very strange.

I work with two co-worker who are getting a divorce. The husband is my partner (at work nothing else). The wife filed for divorce so she can be with another man.

She is trying to get me to date her soon to be ex. I think she is trying to get on equal playing grounds when going in front of the judge. I don't have any feelings for the ex. expect as a friend. But Im worried she will try to get someone else to date him. Shes mad because I wont. Should I tell him of my suspicions?

Why do Americans not know how to dress to work. I am referring to the age group 17-25 mostly?

Why has bed-wear or lounge wear become fashionable in America?

My ex cheated on me with a guy she worked with for a month while dating me. She wasted my time and money and she still told me that she loved me and crap. What a waste! I loved her so much and she just had to go for another guy. And I mean this guy is a complete waste of time....all he does is party. I've done everything for her to be the best boyfriend possible and I think any girl would love to have someone like me. But why would she do this? She was the one that dumped me but she lied and said that she had no more time for me when in fact she dumped me to be with the other guy. I actually found out about "them" and turns out the guy didn't even know she was going out with me. She told him she was single. What a girl huh? Let me know what you guys think. She's 19

...at some point, after being married for years, meet someone else that they develop a crush or feelings for, or someone that they feel like they would have liked to date if they weren't married, even if that married person never acts on it? Anyone have personal experience with this and care to share--I'm very curious about this.

I am trying to take it day by day, but he is all I think about. I feel like I am going nuts. I don't want to push him away, but I am 8 months pregnant and I need him to be there for me during my difficult pregnancy. We both thought that we wanted some time apart. Once I moved out I figured that I don't want to have time apart. He is saying that he doesn't want to rush back into things and they go back to the way they were. What should I do? Tell him that I want to be back with him or try to get over him?

Two people,
opposite sides of the globe,
Both gonna be celebrating all weekend,
Neither will actually be having a good time.

It's all down to the fact that they won't be celebrating together.

Any suggestions or messages to this pair?

I have been dating my girlfriend for 4 months now. Things seem to be going ok with a few bumps in the road along the way. However, lately, she has been saying I LOVE YOU but not with enthusiasm, including sometimes when she says it on the phone so low I can’t hear her and have to ask what she said. Recently, and only because it was something I said in conversation that brought this up, she said she is going to start working later on Wednesdays starting in 2 weeks and trying to work a few hours extra each day during the week for extra money. Again, she didn’t volunteer this info. Now I wouldn’t think anything of this being that we have talked about getting a place in 5months when her lease is up and we could use the extra cash to support ourselves. However, she has a history of cheating, including her ex hubby. And I still suspect she talks to her other ex she cheated on him with, but she denies it. Even though she has text him in front of me.

I'm a jolly person, funny. LoL.haha! (only if we're talking 1 on 1, 2 or 4 people but not in public). I'm not expressive.I'm shy in public and doesn't have a good self-esteem. Once I get embarrassed I messed out all throughout.I'm a positive thinker, smart and wise. With a fair complexion and looks, 5 flat in height weighing 120 pounds .I'm artistic and creative. Loves to play tennis. I'm an asian and recently moved to US. I'm 17 and in college right now. I have a few friends in school maybe 2 or 3. And in classroom I feel that they don't like me. I'm nice and always have as smile on my face. But still no one likes me. Even in my country, I only have a few friends in school, really few. My cousins, they mingle with me but not that really close. My sister, if she finds someone that is better than me she will more likely to have that company. My dad, we're not that close. My mom is the only person in the world who believe and loves me. And GOD is my only BEST FRIEND!Praise my Rabbi!

Hi everybody, it's been a while since I came on.

I got married 5 months ago and my relationship went badly downhill after.

He no longer respects me, he talks to me like a child, tells me to "f***ing shut up", he wouldn't help me when I got sick (he told me it was not his responsibility to take care of me or help me in any way). He is drinking all the time. He says the most awful things to/ about me in front of his friends when we're out, and then says "it was meant to hurt you, a good joke should hurt your feelings, you have to get used to my sense of humour, I can do and say whatever I like". He's not interested in sex anymore and is very controlling - won't let me use my cellphone, turns up at my friends houses when I'm there.

But I remember the man I fell in love with, and I miss him. I want to leave but I'm scared of regretting it after. My family is telling me I should get out now, which adds to the confusion.

Please help.

He thinks she makes $35,000 but she actually makes $70,000. He pays $1,200 for child support and $1,200 for childcare, for their 3 kids. Their childcare is $1,800 a month and she is supposed to pay her parents $600 but doesn't, but claims she does to the courts and her ex. She is always bashing him, I don't know him and have never met him. I am a single mom who doesn't get support, I don't even want it. I think women like this give other women who really need it a bad name, making it hard to get the help they need. I really want to tell him that he needs to look closer at her finances. I know this is bad, but I wanted to know others opinions.

If you have always dreamed of that moment! when you are in that incredible white dress!! Would you wipe out that dream for the person you love. Not because they dont want to fulfil your wish or cant efford it but its because of death in the family??

Girls that have a crush on a guy, what is it about the guy that makes you like him so much? Is it more of a physical atraction, or is it deeper? i know that most guys have a crush on girls just based on looks and "sex", is it the same for most girls?

Me and my bf have been 2gether for a month now. Were both 21. We both really love each other. He always invited me over his place and I finally went over and stayed last weekend. It was great. We had sex talk b4 since Im still a virgin and he respects that. The big problem is i feel bad because I always have to lie to my parents because they would kill me if they knew I even went to his place let alone slept in his place with him. At the end of the month I am moving back to school which is 45 minutes away from my house and about 1.5 hours away from my bf's house. He will be visiting me alot, and I will go over once in a while as well. My parents already talked to me that my bf shouldnt stay over my place nor me over his and that we should respect each other. How do i tell my parents that this will happen ? I dont wanna keep lying but then they are really religious (catholic) and I know if I told them I would piss them off ALOT. I dont know what to do. Please help !
