i met a guy on my church hes cuban like me and hes really really tall 6'4 he is really cute
since the first time we saw each other we could not stop staring so when we are done he comes and talk to me (ask me my name and stuff)the next day (it was a 3 day event) we saw each other again and we said hi then at lunch time we had 2 hours so after we ate he invited me to go walk around so we did for like 1:30 minutes so the last day he asked me for my number i gave it to him as soon as we finished he called and left a message no we been talking for a couple of weeks he came to my job saturday and all we had a good time.so now he wants to talk to my dad!now here is where i need help should i let him?i told him a will let you know later on if i want you to talk to him or not so hes like ok but today at lunch time he called me and asked me so when u going to let me? so i dont know what to say help?i really like him and i havent felled anything like this in a long time.
any other suggestions?

he also said that he will wait as much as he had to that he was not in a hurry
that all he wants is to get to know eeachother better but with my parents knowing and been avilable to do stuff together

Your father will appreciate that this guy is showing him enough respect to talk to him before going after you. I think you should let them talk but ask God. He won't give you a wrong answer.

There is nothing wrong to let him talk to your dad, its nice he has the effort of doing it. However, if marriage is the topic I think you need to think a million times. Its better you two must know each other longer and test your compatibility before going into that part. Pray for guidance and signs from above dont be in a hurry. Talk to him be open of what you think about it. Honesty is the best policy.

ok yeah this guy seems like he might pressure you into something that you are not ready for. i mean when i guy wants to talk to a girls dad i mean i think that is really big.. but if you feel that you are not ready (which if i was in your spot i would not) then tell him. be honest. i think that he should understand that i mean becaus i have been thru the same thing and he understood and that was great! but yeah just tell him exactly what you feel and he should be able to understant. but first if he wants to tell your dad "hey i like your daughter" then you might think about what your dad might say. but if he is more like "hey im your daughters friend do you mind if i take her out for a bite to eat" then i think 2 is better than 1 because it dosent seem that you know him that well to take that step yet. good luck!

It is smart of you to take your time. You tell him that your father is quite a conservative person and it will take some time for you to let your father know that you are in a relationship. So, you need more time and will let him know when is the rite time. By telling him this, you do not hurt him and at the same time you will make him understand how your situation in the family is. M sure if he loves you, he'll wait for you. I feel that he must have fallen in love for you and wants to get to know your father as fast as he can. Take care and enjoy this relationship of yours!

Talk about what,.... you have a right to know this. If you are not comfortable with this situation tell him no you can't talk to my dad, he sounds pushy be careful here just tell him you will let him know when is a good time to talk, you brought time here, maybe you can find out what is so important he needs to talk to him about. Again be careful!!!

Why would he want to talk to your dad so soon? Why not tell him that you will plan an evening where you can all get together for dinner and then he can talk to him... but I'd wait til you get to know this guy!
