I was thinking I should change the spelling of my name, which was recorded as "asma" (in french) to "essma" (the right way to pronoune it) , so that professors and other people stop calling me aZma.. the thing is I'm only here for another year (I will graduate next year hopefully) then I will go back home. I might come back to America later on but that's an option, and I'm not sure.. My name is making me a bit too concious and embarassed, especially the first day of class when professors read the attendance sheet (the university refuses to change anything in the spelling) or when someone has to read from a legal paper I always have to put up with surprised faces and looks and sometimes with immature kids in college who just laugh at it very openly... but in the same time the hassle is just not encouraging me to do this.. I don't know what to do..

I work at an attorney's office and the woman I work for introduced me to her cousin last week. He called the office up today and asked if i wanted to go out to eat with him and my boss today. Unfortunately, I don't date nor am i really interested in him. What do I do to kind of lay him off without actually making him feel like I just rejected him?

I just needed someone to talk to. I have a lot of financial problems right now and I feel like I am alone. My husband works and is away for a month at a time, so I am pretty much on my own with my two children. I am about to lose my home and if it weren't for me being afraid of leaving my children (who are the absolute world to me) I would say I would want to end it all. I am scared all the time, so much that I am giving myself chest pains. I feel like I can't trouble my family as they have their own lifes. But I just needed to see if there is anyone out there that has gone through anything similar and if you can ever rebuild your life. I had a really bad couple of years (deaths, unemployment, etc.). Does life ever stop teaching you lessons, because I almost feel like I am being punished for something. I just don't want to disappoint my family, and I feel that is exactly what I am doing. Well thanks to anyone who will listen. This life really sucks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If you are a guy, have you dated single mothers? Was the experience good and did you see a future or was it just too much work? In your opininon would you continue to date single moms or rather go after someone without kids? Did you notice that the kids were spoiled because they were the momma's whole world? Did you notice that the single mom's parents were always in your life? I'm not making a judgement on single mom's just want some people's experiences with it. I've experienced some of these and have met a lot of great single moms, others i have horror stories.

I was talking to a friend of mind a few weeks ago and he made this comment to me, "I would never date you! You are to pretty. I need to be with a women that has a little something wrong with her." I asked him why and he said. "Because pretty women have a way about themselves and I would give you all my money and would lose my mind."

Do men really feel like a women can be to pretty to date and why or why not?

I recently, while putting some clothes away for my girl, found a small bottle of KY and 3 condoms (the ones you get in a three pack)...now we do not use a condom EVER when we have sex (yes, i know, you are saying DUMBASS)...but we don't. ...nonetheless...a little bit of the KY was used...it is in her bottom drawer next to her bed...is this something to be worried about...could they be from a long time ago and just forgot about them?....we have been together for 3 months and i see her everyday (meaning i see her everynight and weekends)...could she be saving them for OTHER sexual activities for us?...or do you think that they could have been for someone else...RECENTLY?...any thoughts...this is killing me...thanks guys!

I have a friend who has 2 children. She knows her ex is the father of one, but with the 2nd one, there is a possibility he is not. Is it possible to DNA test the 2 children to find out if they have the same father, if he is unavailable for the test. Can you compare DNA between siblings like that?

Soon after we got married, my husband began losing interest in sex and intimacy, to the point where he got used to just holding hands and quick kisses. Now 2 years later, I feel I live with a roommate, sharing bills and household chores. He has no interest in being intimate and I feel like he's not attracted to me anymore. I know I haven't changed -- I still brush my teeth, gone back to the weight pre-pregnancy, which is slim...For the many times I felt rejected, just a touch and him pushing me away, I stopped trying, and feel that we have lost the spark. He needs to be reminded of how I feel, goes fine for a week, then he retreats to himself. He's nice all other ways, helping in the house, rubbing my feet, but that's it. I don't understand it. Any ideas? We started seeing a counselor but I'm angry at this point that he can't provide the basic needs of even a boyfriend. I'm thinking we're heading towards a divorce.

my bf and i have been together for over a year now and are engaged to be married in november of this year. but he is the type of person that doesnt like to be lovey dovy. but i am. it really hurts me when he doesnt touch me like as in even hug me when he gets home from work. sometimes he wont even listen to me. i believe that he has just gotten used to our relationship but i havent. and i cant talk to him because he never listens to stuff like this. how do i tell him? what to do?

I have been brought up in a family where your body must be covered up.My family are not Muslims but are strict Catholics and even now aged 18 my mother thinks it is wrong to wear skirts above the knee.As a result of my upbringing,the fact I am naturally very shy,the fact I still have the "catholic guilt" aspect and the fact I don't like my body, I find even the thought of having sex impossible.
I have met a lovely man who I would like to have sex with.We have been togeher for 1 and a half years and he has never pressurised me for sex however now I think it is time for us to have sex.It is the next natural step but I can't even face letting him see my tummy never alone my whole naked body.He tells me he oves me the way I am but I can't let him see me naked.Anyone experienced the same thing?

Well... I'm Vietnamese and the girl I like is hispanic. We never talk to each other, but see each other on the same bus about 3 times a week for almost a year now. I'm afraid to look at her because I don't want to look separate and stare at her because she's just beautiful. So I just read this, and, as a guy it's sickening. The gist of it is that while she likes a gentleman some of the time, sometime it annoys her because she feels it's ultimately just a means to achieve the same end, to get in the pants.

I said that we are all in it to procreate, ultimately, that that is the true nature of our sex drive. Further, in terms of love and companionship, that THAT is why I choose to treat a woman I am with with respect at all times.

So, is this confusing to anyone else, to hear, "I want a good guy, a guy who respects me, but not all the time because his efforts to get in my pants become so transparent that it unsettles me"?

What the hell? If we're supposed to treat you women with respect and disrespect alternately, would you mind telling us when you're in the mood for each so I don't bore you with cheaply veneered, blatent attempts to concquor you?
