I am working with a UN agency in an African country. I am a contractor so that means my job has no guarantee,no reward, no leave and on top of all half the money.
I had my old chief back from New York with a higher position but he is no more working in my department , he met me a almost a month ago and he told me that he would help me in getting a permanent job.......Since now there is lot of unrest here and UN need more and more people,there are lot of vacancies and new people are coming everyday,hundreds of interviews are taking place everyday. I am very puzzeled as to what to do? Should i go and remind it to my ex Chief????

Our 23yr old niece is staying with us this summer and we have her for another 4 nights. I feel that she is very disrespectful of us because she stays out all night with different men. She is actually my husband's niece. This is behavior that I don't think she would attempt if she were staying at her parents house. My hubby seems scared to lay out any rules. He complains about it to me but won't tell her to her face. I want to make a reasonable 1am curfew and tell her about it. Would you? I feel every house needs to have some order and discipline and I'm not scared to lay it out.

When I am around new people, or even people that I have known for a while, I feel really awkward and inadequate. i feel like my nerves get the better of me and a behave oddly and inauthentically. It is horrible because I would just like to feel relaxed and be myself.

I am starting a new job soon and I really want to be there for a long time so I need to build up good relationships with my colleagues.

Okay I left my husband a couple of weeks ago because I think he's cheating. Here's why:

1. He works late with his pretty assistant who dresses like a tramp sometimes and flirts with him

2. He smells like perfume when he comes home and it's definetly not the kind I use

3. I found a matchbook with a hotel name on it in his pants pocket

4. One of my friends saw him at a restuarant with the trampy assistant.

Hello,

I am Hindu adult male intending to marry a Muslim adult female. We are currently residing with our respective parents. We would like to get married without parent's knowledge since we do not have their consent.

We went to DC's office to submit application under Special Marriage Act. We had all paperwork ready. However the clerk said that registered letters would be sent within 5-10 days to our permanent residence (parent's residence) to notify them of our application in case they have any objection. Since we do not want our parents to know, this created an problem. So we decided not to apply that day and first check if this true.

Is this true that our residences would be notified of the marriage application? We don't want parents to know, so what should we do? I would be grateful for your help.

But here our bond of friendship is very strong....we talk every day, often times two, three times a day. It is like nothing has changed except for the fact the person is dating others which is in line with the fact they don't want a relationship at this time either. Should I cut my losses and move on or remain friends with this person and "not burn my bridges"? The urge to just follow my gut and move forward is really strong at this moment in time but I want to make a rational decision and appreciate any suggestions/comments that you might be able to share here. I'm a wreck and have been for the last 8 months.
I am completely in love with a woman who can not return that love.
I have cried rivers upon rivers of tears for this woman.
She is a sweet and kind and gentle creature however one that is out of my grasp.
She can go out at nite and live it up and I doubt she ever thinks of me during that time frame.
She has played mind games with me and manipulated me, she is not a complete princess as she certainly has her flaws.
At this point she uses me as an ego boost, i was told this by a friend but just couldn't grasp the concept and part of my mind still won't allow me to grasp that.
I have given SO MUCH to this woman and she has literally offered nothing in return except a dozen roses and 2 nites in a hotel and that is it.
I went to Cleveland to see her and she could not even come to the airport to see me. I ended up paying for a hotel that nite and taking the greyhound back home in the morning. I don't know if I can ever forgive her for that. Her reasoning for that is that she says she got an email from some woman telling her that she should leave me alone because i'm already involved with this mystery person.
She claims she went to NYC around March 17 I don't buy it as far as my tracking software is concerned she never even left.
I have been there for this girl whenever she needed me ALWAYS!
I bought her daughter a birthday gift because I care about this woman.
I rode the nasty *** greyhound to see her which was a 8 hour trip both ways.
I took the train to go see her and she had me wait at the station from 230am till 11am the next day. She could have picked me up if she wanted to...but she really didn't want to.
She acts like she is this innocent freaking damsel in distress but she is nothing more then a manipulative machine. And for the LIFE of me I just don't understand my allure and love for her.
She has a great laugh and can be sweet but she gives me almost nothing.
I'm now catagorized as "one of her best guy friends" and that insenses me and incites me to no end.
Why in the hell am I so drawn to this woman, what is my major malfunction and how in the hell do I distance myself from her without completely falling to pieces to the point where it effects my job and my interpersonal relationships with other people.
She stresses me so much that the only coping mechanism I have is to not eat. So effectively i'm wasting away into nothingness.

She does call every morning when she gets to work and I just don't get it...I know she would be very uncomfortable and probably shocked if I met someone else. She makes little digs like "so how many girls did you sleep with this weekend" and things like that.

I feel that she doesn't want me but doesn't want anyone else to have me either.

I just don't know what to do at this point, I do LOVE her with all my heart and I just don't know what to do.

Have you EVER been in a similar type of relationship and what did you do? Did you drop the hammer so to speak and let the other person know how you REALLY feel the good and the not so good thoughts? Do you just walk away? What did you do??

I am a strong man however this one really has a hold of me really badly.

I want her back in my arms

Any suggestions at all would be fantastic

My husband comes from a family of cheating women at least 5 generations of them that he knows about!

His great GRANDMOTHER cheated, and got pregnant with 2 other mens baby's, his GRANDMOTHER cheated and had at least on child by another man, his mother cheated, his 4 aunts on mothers side cheated, his sisters cheated and gotten divorced because of it it has in short made my husband "AWARE" of what to look for and can spot a cheater "ANYWERE" at anytime!

I have 2 childhood friends one lives only a mile away from us and the other lives in DENVER, and when we all got together my husband knew they were cheating so he exposed them both it got bad and now both are getting divorced!

My husband wont tolerate a cheat who ever it is and exposes them without mercy, when I asked him why he just said he still sees his father crying after what his mother did to him!

Side note when his mother cheated he found out and exposed her , when she started to yell at her husband he broke her nose!
