We are both divorced and have children from our prior marriages. We are having a baby together in a few months. We just moved in together so we could all be together before the baby was born. I would like for us to be married, so that we could be a "real" family for the baby, but he thinks that we are already a family and we should wait until we have our finances in order before we get married. I have a lot of debt from law school and some credit issues from being a full time student and single mom. We want to buy a bigger house and some other things, and he thinks that we should wait to be married until we do these things and are in a better financial position. This won't happen until I finish school and get a job--a year or more. I don't think that finances should rule our decision to get married. I think this is a decision based on our love and committment to each other. I think that if he loved me enough that the other things would't matter. He thinks I am being to naive

i have raised my son all on my own. he is now 8. i got married last year to a girl i dated for 2 years. she wanted to get married and be his mommy. she even had him call her mom. 6 months into the marriage she decided to no longer be a mom or a wife, led a seperate life with me stuck at home all the time as she did whatever, whenever. after 6 months of pleading with her to come back to me spiritually, she told me i was not in her heart, she couldnt be intimate with me and resented us. so i packed her stuff and kicked her out. was i right? i tried for 6 months to make her happy.

I have a 3mo. old son and husband who split. I am 6 mo. behind in my mortgage and am going to be evicted in 3 weeks if I dont come up with $. I want to file bankruptcy but even after that I wont have enough $ to pay arrears over 60 months. I have a full time job and am planning to get a second job, and have every intention to pay the $ back. But i need at least 10K to give to the bank upfront and the rest I can put in a bankruptcy payment plan. How do I go about asking my family for this? In the mean time, I will have an estate sale and sell everything I possibly can to raise $, but thats not even going to be close to 10K. Please Help me people!

I had been dating this guy for 6 months when he decided to end it in May. He wanted to date other girls but date me too. A few days later he decided he wanted to be with me. So we got back together. Then a few weeks later he broke up with me again. He dated other girls and me too. Then in June he told me I was the one for him and he wanted to be with me forever. July 3 he told me he wanted it over for good and was going to see another girl. July 4 he called me and told me I was right that she wasn't the one for him and I was. He wants me back forever, which he has told me each time he decides he wants to be with me. I do want to go back to him, but I'm afraid of him doing it all over again. My family hates him, they don't want to talk to him or see him. Even though I have talked to him, he keeps telling me he is sorry and I'm the one for him. I want to go back to him but I'm forbidden to. All I do is cry. I just don't know what to do.

So I have been dating this guy. And we are exclusive. A girl friend of his who he hasn't met in 14 years and with whom he has forged a very close friendship with in these 14 years, is in the country visiting her sister. But instead of visiting her, he has invited her to live in his place and told her she can stay as long as she wants. Sure I am very happy for them as friends and I want them to meet and hang out, but I am very uncomfortable for 3 reasons:
1. the thought of them living together (he lives alone)
2. also uncomfortable with another very key fact. She likes him. Not just as a friend. But he assures me that "he" doesn't see her that way.
3. He hasn't told her about me. He says it's personal and he doesn't go about telling people about his personal life.
4. I can try trusting him, but since I don't know her, I don't know if I can trust her.

Me and my fiance became very close when he was married to his first wife but did not have sex while he was still with her. He left her 2 years ago, they're now divorced and we are getting married. It It was quite an acrimnious divorce as she knew he was leaving her for me but it has got better over time and we now speak civilly about things such as childcare for his two small children who we have every other weekend. She was especially gracious when my h2b told her that we were getting married (I DID NOT want one of the kids telling her!) wished us luck. The kids are in the wedding and my question is really, should we invite her? She's 10 yrs older than me and has been so adult and civilsed for so long now when she could have been a total ***** to me (I realise it's a total cliche that he left her when I'm so much younger and was his PA!!) . We're not best friends or anything, and she probably wouldn't even want to come but should I invite her?

Last night, me and my man were watching a t.v. program about how this woman was so hurt about her break-up with her man that she decided to try and be vindictive and take him for half of everything he had. I told my man that if I decided to ever leave him for any hurt that he caused me I wouldn't want anything from him, just for him to get out of my life once and for all. Well to make a long story short, he told me that if I ever wanted to leave him, he would hurt me so bad that I wouldn't want anything anyway. What's did he exactly mean by this statement. Is he saying that I would have a hard time getting rid of him for any reason?
