Last night, me and my man were watching a t.v. program about how this woman was so hurt about her break-up with her man that she decided to try and be vindictive and take him for half of everything he had. I told my man that if I decided to ever leave him for any hurt that he caused me I wouldn't want anything from him, just for him to get out of my life once and for all. Well to make a long story short, he told me that if I ever wanted to leave him, he would hurt me so bad that I wouldn't want anything anyway. What's did he exactly mean by this statement. Is he saying that I would have a hard time getting rid of him for any reason?

Being a guy I speak man language well and I have no clue what he is trying to say. He sounds really insecure and that is some sort of threat. Maybe he's worried that you'll leave him and that is supposed to discourage you somehow?

There's a reason why I don't engage in hypothetical "pillow talk"...someone is always going to say something like this which will leave the other one wondering what the hell just happened. Now, hopefully he was kidding, but his answer seems to suggest that if you left him he would seriously mess you up. That's quite a hint; is he serious or not?

That's something you should ask him. If the man in my life ever said something like that to me, I would of called him on it right then and there.. Sounds to me, That he threatened you and if i were you i would watch out! Be careful and hope you find the answer your looking for if not from us but from him, himself!

if he's really serious and wasn't kidding around, then that's a big red flag! does he have a bad temper? is he controlling? does he monitor your every move? if so.....leave him now and get yourself a bodyguard........you may be dealing with a looney.

oh hell no, he straight up almost theatened you girl. That is just uncalled for. Is he really controlling or violent, I dunno how long ya'all been dating, but I would proceed with precaution if I was you, you may be gettin into an abusive situation. best of luck girl.
