ok, just relax. first off, i agree that you shouldn't be changing yourself for a guy. if he likes you, he will like you for who you are. if he doesn't, well he's just not worth it. you should be yourself. if you are looking into this for health benefits, recommend excersize (walking, swimming, gym, personally, I do martial arts), water, less sugar, fats, and carbs, and just being positive. don't degrade yourself and do it the natural way. i hope this helps!

Well, to be honest, I'm a guy and weight is mostly a secondary or even tertiary concern for me. It's more important for a woman to have a good heart and possess the qualities of humility, patience, self-control, diligence, and forgiveness. These are the qualities that make a good mother and wife, and should be valued far above physical attraction. If your romantic interest cannot see this, then I suggest looking for a different guy.

Now, if you do have a severe weight problem, you should probubly see a doctor or a specialist. However, the way I keep my wieght down is by daily exercise (about 45 minutes vigorous exercise, and 30 minutes of moderate workout at least). I like to swim and bike since they are high cardio sports and low impact. When you eat, try to stay away from large amounts of fat - don't cook everything in butter and olive oil. Lean meats, vegetables, and some fruits are good. Try to stay away from nuts and certain kinds of beans which can be fatty. I DO NOT approve of the Atkins diet. While eating too many carbs is bad, and you should watch your intake, total abstinence from them can cause your body to release harmful toxins and do more harm than good.

My suggestion, get involved in a competitive sport and follow a recommended dietary plan published by a sports nutritionist (you may find a good one in Triathlete magazine and Runner's World magazine, or better yet, see a sports nutritionist yourself). Also, follow the regular workout schedule.

bear in mind that different people have different body types, people with larger bone structures won't look like the woman with a smaller bone structure, but you can still get your weight down and your fitness level up.

Also, if you know any vegans or vegetarians who follow a strict dietary plan to be sure they get all of the nutrients they need, you may want to talk to some of them about a healthy diet. Contrary to popular belief, vegans and vegetarians tend to eat very healthy because, by the exclusion of meat, they are forced to organize their diet well. (I myself am not a vegetarian, but in my faith we fast from meat 7 times a year, the longest period lasting 56 days or so).

Well, it depends how much exercising a day your getting, and what you are eating. Drink plenty of water & watch how much sugar & carbs your eating. Do a little bit of cardio each day. Cardio is when you get your heart rate up high. ( Jumping jacks, running, bike riding) Just whatever helps the most. I assure you will lose weight this way. Just work hard at it, & yes it will be hard to get a grip on, but the results will be great.
As far as the guy you like, if he can 't accept that you are you, than I wouldn't put up w/ him. But, it's your decision, give it all a try, see what kind of person he is.:) Hope this helps....

Are you really trying SO HARD?? Are you not putting a single fattening thing in your mouth?? You need to wake up every morning and run/jog...at least a mile. At a lot of healthy food. Don't starve yourself cause that doesn't work. Eat alot of protein, vegetables and fruit. Swim, ride a bike, walk...do everything you can think of to lose weight. Always stay active. Don't sit in front of the tv...or on the computer all day.

What I have found that works is to eat more times but less food per sitting. My easiest time was measure out about 300 calories in one sitting but eat whenever I'm hungry. Which ended up being about every two hours. No snacking. When you start watching the calories you realize just how much you over ate. A normal plate of spaghetti for example has about 1000 calories. Pasta is heavy on calories. Drink lots of water and of course exercise. I take walks.

on top of going to the gym and eating lots of fruits and veggies, get a lot of low fat low cal snacks so you can eat and still be full. also take little steps that will help in the long run. for example, instead of drinking a soda, have water. instead of just standing on an escalator, walk up it. buy low fat milk instead of whole. find a friend of yours who will lose weight with you because its easier to do it when youre not alone. i think that if the only reason youre doing this is to attract a guy who would not otherwise talk to you is a waste of time and energy. seems like you are VERY insecure and that hes not worth it. you should be trying to lose weight to be healthier, not to impress someone who may not even like you.

If you believe that this guy won't like you because you aren't thin, then maybe you should move on... The only person you should lose weight for is YOU. Others either take you as you are, without their being rules, or they don't take you at all!

I absolutely will NOT give you tips to lose weight. You do not change yourself for some guy!
If a guy is worth your time, he will accept you EXACTLY as your are. If he doesn't like the person on the inside, the outside won't matter for very long.

Now look at the inside you--there is a goddess hidden in there--but you have to love her in order to be her!

I just lost 30 pounds fretting over my man when I thought he was gone from my life. Not a real healthy way to do it though.

Exercise, eat healthy. Many of my friends have had great results from Weight Watchers. Good Luck - you can do it!
