How does that work that 2 people can make a relationship work but when it comes to marriage its just thrown out the window as if vows werent anything

My fiance and I have been engaged since February 23. In March, we went to a wedding chapel to have our wedding priced. It ended up being almost $2800. A lot of that stuff could be taken off cause I don't have to have it. Since at the time I thought my parents were going to pay (it is tradition afterall), we discussed it with them. My mother said it was too much money to spend and tried talking us into having it at a church they had only been going to for a month or two. She said they would pay for the catering if we did it that way (their way).

My fiance knew I didn't want it that way. He also was all for doing the chapel thing since all the planning was taken care of. I didn't want to have it at their church. I'd never even been there. He started working more hours to help pay for it. Then my mom said to tell him not to, that it was their place.

Since then, every idea we've come up with has been shot down for whatever reason. My mom is aggrivated that we keep changing it.

Last week my husband was talking to his g-pa on the phone and I heard him say "SURE! Grandpa, stay as long as you like!" He hangs up the phone and I just stare at him and am like "What was that all about?" He says "Oh, grandpa is staying with us 3 days a week for the next few weeks, he got a part time job in this area and lives about 3 hrs away with my mom so we agreed it'd be easiest to have him stay with us, honey" I just tell him that he could have asked me first, to see if it was ok since we are having severe marriage problems as it is and need to work them out by ourselves. We've been married only a year and a half, 22/23 yrs old. ANYWAY....so he says he is sorry and tells me that he will call g-pa and tell him that I said no..I tell him not to be retarded, that it will make me look bad if he did. He freaks out and says he doesn't understand why I am being so mean, and that it is not a big deal, that he will just ask me first next time. I can't stand this g-pa either. I am so mad..

He announced in a cruel way 6 weeks ago on our 10th anniversary that he doesn't love me. He went into counseling right after, but still emphasizes he 'needs time'. It is so unfair for me to sit home "waiting", doing dinner, cleaning, laudry and caring for autistic child while he has to make his "decision" if he is divorcing or separating or staying with us.

I'm getting married Sunday, and although I can't wait to marry my guy and be with him forever, I am simply dreading the ceremony. I just want to get it over with! I feel like most of it is because I DO NOT want people to see me cry. I've always been like this about everything, and I don't think it's going to change.

Anyone have any ideas for me to avoid crying? Ugh!! We're getting married in Vegas, so it's actually just going to be mine and his parents, along with my sister and her boyfriend.

I popped my girls cherry earlier in the week, and after having a few more fun times since, she is still talking about a little bit of pain and discomfort. Can some ladies out there tell me how many times it took before it stopped hurting them, and possibly give any more advice.
For extra info - we are very comfortable together, and i'm being quite gentle and considerate, so i'm sure its not my fault :)

When it comes to a relationship, even though you love that person. Should u stay with him even though the sex is really bad? Im asking because i know sex is a big role in relationships. And its come to the point where i don't even feeling like "doing it" with him.

This is in the new cingular wireless commercial and the daughter is in Vegas with a questionable character.

The call is dropped while the mother is trying to explain not to maker her "mistake".

So she looks over her shoulder and gets bent out of shape and tries to explain over the phone but nobody hears her.

What exactly is she talking about when she is referring to the "mistake"?

I'm invited to a friend's engagement party. I sent an engagement card when they first became engaged (they've been engaged since December).
Is it necessary for me to bring a gift to the engagement party? If so, what is appropriate? The couple is registered already, but seems too early for registery items. The wedding isn't until June 08.
TIA

I am 25 and recently started dating a guy I dated in HS (he was my first sweetheart at 15). I have traveled twice in the last month up to see him (we live about 3 hrs apart). Both weekends have been fantastic - lots of flirting, laughing, fun & more.

I am not used to dating, as in the past I've had mostly serious long-term relationships. For the first 3 weeks he called every day, lots of sweet text messages & the like. But since my last visit he seems a little more closed off. Harder to get ahold of, not as responsive (but keep in mind he did just have a serious family tragedy occur).

I want him to know I'm thinking of him and miss him. But where do I draw the line between flirting and acting clingy? He was calling/texting me every day, if I do the same is it acceptable or am I being pushy?

Also, when/how is it a good time to address our status? Will it scare him away if I ask if we are exclusive?

ok, some i'm getting married next june, and i'm wanting some ideas for our reception.
we want to have a normal(esque) wedding and a really goofy, off the wall reception. we're not big on fancy stuff and impressing people with matching table decorations and $800 cakes like some people i know, and a few months ago we started joking around about getting a ball pit and a bounce around, and having some friends dress up in bear costumes and serve food.....well now we're kinda really wanting to do it...serioulsy. we think it would be hilarious and fun for everyone. it would also really reflect our personalities (he's a drummer, i'm an artist)
so anyway, we need some ideas to go along with our reception (decorations, food, location, etc)
i'd prefer people not to just answer out of meaness either, but to the people that are being genuinely helpful, THANK YOU!!!
