Yeah, seeing someone is very important. It is possible to have a relationship over the web. I have had one. However, I didn't meet the girl because she wouldn't let me. I fear it was because she didn't want me to see her because she didn't feel I would be attracted to her. If that is what is going on then you need to "see the truth". You know that seeing someone and physically being around them is needed in a dating relationship. If she won't allow this then there is something wrong. It could be the same thing I went through.

its not dumb but i would never ever have a relationship over the net..the person youre talking to might be a fat ugly man..and if they send you pictures of themselves it might not really be them..so i wouldnt consider dating over the web...get up off the computer and start looking theres someone out there for u..:)

it just depends.how long have you two been talking?does she live close enough to meet/visit/take out?if you just started talking and are trying to know each other a little before meeting its fine but if youve been talking awhile or she lives far away and theres no chance of meeting then you really just have an online friend.if you want to try and find a girlfriend online try a dating site and only view girls in your zipcode lol.plentyoffish.com and matchdr.com are free and its where i met my guy we are going on 2 yrs together so it does work good luck

I don't think its "dumb." You are having some sort of need temporarily fulfilled by this person, even if she is not what you believe she is. I'm sure you know deep down that it is not real. Just keep that in mind.

it is dumb cause u really dont know the truth bout her. for all u know it could be a dude...its not really safe or intellegent...go out w/ some guy friends to a club or bowling or something....find a girl their...be yourself....and you'll find somebody somtime or another..no worries..good luck
