I have a 1G PC2100 SDRAM DDRin my computer right now and I wanted to add a 1G 2700 SDRAM DDR. How will this effect my computer? Also someone told me if I put the PC2700 in the 1st slot and the PC2100 in the 2nd slot, I should be running at the PC2700 speed. Is this true?

It says in order to download nero 7 i need at least directx 9. I hear it cannot be deleted once loaded. Is this program a pain, or a good thing to have??

My computer is really slow lately. Out of 114 gb, my computer only has 17 some left. I keep getting messages about low virtual memory and don't know what to do about it. I had a bunch of viruses and ever since then it's been slower. I try to defrag as much as I can. What can I do, without buying a new computer, to make it run more efficiently?

I am a new writer who is very cheep and dosent wanna spend alot of money. I am looking for a laptop type device that i can type up my story on while i am out or on the couch or where ever and then transfer what ive written for the day over to my PC. But the thing is that i am very poor (lol sigh) and i dont need all the crap that they sell me with a basic laptop. All i want is a word type program that can be trasfered to my PC at the end of the day and it be portable... Any suggestions would be great and LINKS ARE NEEEEEDDDDEEEDDD!!!! thnx!

I have a SD card slot on a board. I want to wire up a USB slot on the board. maybe even remove the SD Slot and Replace it with a USB slot (Female end)?
I would prefer the USB SLOT(Female) end to be the USB-Mini.
Can anyone point me in the right direction to do this?

ok see i have 2 laptops, a 2yr old gateway 1.3 ghz celeron procesor with 2 gig RAM (recently upgraded from 256mb to 2gig) and i have a 1yr old vaio laptop 1.73 ghz pentium with 1 gig RAM. My gateway seemed to improve by alot since i upgraded it from 256 mb to 2 gig ram, now i can play my games better and make my movies and do all that crap now but its still not as good as my Vaio. I noticed that my vaio had a slightly better processor. Will upgrading my gateway's processor into a 2ghz pentium make it run faster? or do i need a bigger hardrive? and also my gateway seems to heat up very fast, i usually have to let it rest after 2 hours. does it need a new fan?

Now when I try to use my backspace key on my keyboard, it sticks and what ends up happening is that the cursor moves backwards, and all that I've typed starts getting deleted. What can I do to fix this problem? Same thing happens with the left shift key, but it isn't as big of a problem as the backspace key sticking. The keyboard is clean and I don't eat at the computer. Thanks.
