There is probably a switch on the drive somewhere.

Move it to the opposite of whatever setting it is on now and you should be fine.

See if you flipped the switch on the side, if not then
your permission may not be set properly try this
The file definitely isn't in use by any programs right?

"Permissions may not be set" refers to the list of users that are allowed to access a file. If you right click a file and go to Properties and look in the Security tab then you can change the security policy for different users (the ability to delete/read/move a file).

A great free program is called Dr Delete. It sets a program to delete on next start up. Just make sure no other software is using this file. it can be found @http://www.docsdownloads.com/dr-delete-1.htm or just google dr delete.

Hope this is your best answer. If not email me and i will help you personally solve this issue.

Go to My Computer, right click on the drive and hit properties, Check to see if there's a check box saying read only, if this is not the case, look on the drive itself, there might be a little switch you pressed that makes it read only

Email me if you have any ?'s
Hope that helps =)

check if there is a switch on the pen drive itself to protect data
right click on the drive icon and check the properties that are set to the drive - i.e. is it set to read only ?

first, get everything off of it, then I'd suggest checking permissions of the file. right mouse click it and select permissions. Look for read only. Remove the check mark

Or empty the drive, and re-format it.

right click on the file-properties and change the file. Right now it probably says read only. If it says read only, you can't change anything in the file.

Is your usb drive locked? mine has a little switch on the side and if you slide the switch, nothing can be changed on it.
