I have one of those backups that look like a surgebar. It has 8 outlets. I was contemplating on taking it apart (after I turn it off and let it sit obviously) and looking at the battery inside and maybe getting a battery with matching voltage that has more capacity. Another idea was to hook up more then one together. Such as, #1 plugged into the wall, #2 plugged into #1, and so on. It would be excellent to have a much longer tim then 15 minutes. Obviously, if the computer is on standby and the monitor is off, I know the battery will have a charge a lot longer.

Reason why I want to know this? I have a computer hooked up in my car. Don't ask, that is not what this post is about. Anyway, by having an extended backup system completely seperate from the battery, I could have my computer on in the touch of a button, by coming off standby, without having to wait for it to start up. It may actually be possible to extend this for several hours if I would guess using a seperate ca

Hi. I have a desktop (HP) with SATA 80 G Hard Drive, (ide) CD/RW, and (ide) DVD/RW. The motherboard has an extra SATA port. I have an ide 80 G Hard drive that I want to hook up to it. I got an adapter (IDE to SATA). When I hook it up the PC does not start. It goes to boot set up and does not pass that. I disconnected the CD drive and hooked the ide Hard drive there; and connected the CD drive to the SATA port using the adapter. By doing this the hard drive works but the CD drive does not.
What should I do in order to hook everything up?
Thanks,

Is there any general application to find any of those above. I wouldn't like to buy a game without considering the system requirements of my laptop.

Every time I start it to try to get on, it will start and everything until it appears to just about to sign on, it just reboots and then goes to square 1 & starts all over again dooing the same thing; rebooting. So how do I get in to at least go back to last restore or fix it, I can get into F3 and get to troubleshoot, but I don't know where to go from there. Please Help!!

Ok, i have a AMD processor and a ASUS motherboard, I built the computer myself, so i know alot about compuers, but i am more of a software guy then hardware.

My question is that my processis is capable of being a 64 bit processor, but at the moment it displayes as 32 bit in windows. How would i get it to work at 64 bit, my motherboard supports it.

I know that I would have to reinstall a windows OS that supports a 64 bit processor.

I am trying to make my own home web server/FTP. In order to do this I need to port forward on my router to my computer. To do this, I must go into the routers control panel. The only problem is, the default username and password doesn't work (and I haven't changed it...?). So I think I need to reset my router, but I already have it configured and everything. I wondered if it just reset the username and password and cleared all open ports but I have no clue. Just in case you need to know, I have a Netgear WGR614v6.
