I want an external hard drive to back up my music, photos, and documents. What kinds of things should I look for?

I'm not super techie so I'd love something that I can just plug in with a USB or something, then transfer over a few folders.

Are there any brands that are especially good?

i have got a bluetoothusb adapter but everytime i connect it says put on some cd rom to install it.when i purchased the bluetooth usb i dint get any additional cd or something coz i have purchased it 4rm some local market.help!

i've managed to finally get videos downloaded from limewire onto my ipod by clicking 'advanced' and then 'convert selection for ipod' in the itunes software.
but now i can't get any sound from the video, appartly because the video file is a 'MPEG1 Muxed' format.
is there anyway to either 1) somehow get ipod to play 'MPEG1 Muxed' format (through some special technique!!) 2) or to download a different format from limewire that works properly with ipod?

If someone were to disect a hard drive and take the disks out, could you use a zip drive or somthing similar to read and use them as you would a cd or dvd? merely a question of curiosity.

Ok so all fans work ok....rotations are ok...temperatures same....i use the PC usualy works for 30 mins then....i turn it on many times and shuts down each time faster than previous so i turn out to have it like goes into windows and shuts down imedialty at the last tries...,,,,,i went to shop i bought new case fan its not the fan...i called and they said most likely CPU is a little burned...NO noise no nothing is heard ....when he shuts down...just acts like power is going off..and the green case light remains on for few mins/secs....
