i have 1 GB pen drive but unfortunately it shown only 240 MBS and cant contain any data when ever i insert in usb it ask to format and after format if ii put some data and then again insert in usb then again it ask for format

so what i do with it for outcome from this trouble

I just got a new keyboard and its great but there are two problems with it. theres only a Ctrl button on the left and not the right...

And theres a "Home" button to the right of the Backspace button which I always hit and others who have this setup do as well.

This home button makes the cursor go to the top left of the typing window so it messes you up when you hit it.


I was just wondering if I could program the Home button into a secondary Backspace key and change the Text select key at the bottom right of the keyboard into a Ctrl.

Can it be done?
if so, how?

I try to add new hardware, and then I get to the point I have to have the disk for the modem, (which I don't have) then there is no list of manufacterers for the modems. I have windows xp home ed. Modem is a compaq, ptel v.90 somethin or rather. I have tried all the suggestions from the help menu. Any suggestions would be appreciated

Our computer is nearly one year old and has produced blue screens (Bug-Code-Usb 0x00000FE) errors since we bought it. It has been back to OEM local shop four times. We are advised it must be some hardware we are using and he cannot find anything wrong with the computer (Asus XP Pro).
We only have the printer and Speedtouch modem attached and have updated everything we can.
It is now reaching its warranty date.
What would experienced computer owners do in this situation - these very silver surfers would be so grateful for advice.

I have a 40GB hdd as a slave drive which has all my music stored on. The computer only sees 31gb. I think this because of the age of the mother board? I have read that I could "flash the bios" which should resolve this. I'm not too keen on doing this as if it all goes wrong I haven't the knowledge to fix it. I have seen these pci cards that you can plug the hdd into that apparently fix this problem.

Getting to the point!!

If I install one of these cards will I have to reformat my hdd or should it just pick up where it left off and show the extra Gigs?

Problems about laptop Acer Aspire 3610?
when i turned on the laptop, it just stood at the Acer demo "forever", unusually slow. It did not do anything even I pressed F2 or F12, or Ctrl+ Alt+ Del. The only way to have it turn off is to take the battery out,so I did. Sometimes it turned on with only a line on the top left corner: "Operating System not found". Is it the sign of the hard drive's problem. How may I fix it.

i have a kingston U3 1 GB data traveller USB but in win 98 not showing up. i removed generic usb driver in device manager and restarted. and put for windows update but says no driver. please tell me exact site name and exact link to download the driver. please dont ask me to google it bcz i have already tried and not found it.

Today I went to bestbuy and I saw my card (7800 GS OC) was priced 350$ or so and the 7950 was like 200$. Shouldn't the 7950 be more expensive and better....please explain to me why the 7800 is better or why its a higher price then the 7950....Thx

Help comp died on me?
I had 512 mb of ram, so today I bought 1 gig of ram(its compatible) anyways when I was putting both of them in, I accidently put them in backwards. After I turned it on I heard kinda like a snap and then the comp turned off. I also smelled a lil bit of smoke. Anyways I found out I had it backwards, and put it in right. Now though, my keyboard,joystick,mouse, and display is not working. My video card fan is still working, and it still has colors coming out of it, but the display doesn't work. Also I have another video output (have no vid card plugged into it) and when I plugged in my monitor to it, the display still doesn't work (usually if i do this, the display shows but they're horrible graphics) any ideas on whats going on and how do I fix it? Also, could my vid card be fryed? The fan still works but it is plugged into the mobo so I dunno. afterwards, I plugged in the ram the correct way and there were no more beeping noises and no burn marks on the ram...

It's a wireless HP keyboard and mouse set. It came with my HP Media Center Computer (the one I'm using right now). The wireless receiver is connected to the computer via USB. The problem is, All of a sudden, out of nowhere BF2142 stops. Not the whole game, but just stops moving forwards. I was turning to the right to land, but the accelleration stops, and I crash. I thought it was just lag, but It kept happening on different server and even offline. It's not just the "W" key either. Every time I move the mouse left and right, like I usually do, while pressing a button (any button, not just directional keys), the typing/signal just stops. I don't know if this is supposed to happen, but I don't think so, or else how would I play a lot of the games I usualy do. The keyboard has never had anything spilled on it, I just replaced the battery, it's within point blank range, nothing is in the way, and the USB is fully plugged in. This has never happened before. There are no drivers for the set

ok so I have had the sims 2 since it came out and all the expansions but when I put the disk in it dosen't read it it says make sure the disk is in blah blah but I know there is nothing wrong with the disk because it has been doing it with the other sims 2 disks not just one of them and sometimes I can get it to play it.
also when I try to play cds but it like skips and stuff even though it is a brand new cd
so what is the problem?

my USB port will only recognize my printer and my old mp3 usb. it won't recognize any new devices i plug in. i don't think it's a driver problem since the balloon doesn't even pop up indicating that the computer senses a device. so i figured that i must have pressed some thing to turn all of my ports off or something. does anyone have the same problem?!

My motherboard supports 1.5 Gb/s SATA hard drives, according to the manual. If I buy a 3.0 Gb/s SATA drive, will it not work at all, or will it only work at that slower 1.5 Gb/s rate?

My friend has windows 2000 and the icons on the desktop are not working.He clicks on them and they do not open and when he right-clicks them and selects open it still does not work.It happened after he ran a spyware check and deleted the items.I do not know if they had carried a system file with it or not.

This lil balloon keeps popping up saying that. Also it says that it is increasing the virt. mem. paging file??? My question to that <<< is if it is increasing it, then why does it keep popping up? Lol!! Is there a way to fix it? Also my PC is running super slow and freezes a whole LOT!! Please help!?!?
