In a moment of "brilliance" I emptied the Recycle Bin that had a file that I needed. It's a very important data base that I need to restore somehow. Is there a way I can do it or have it done? Thanks in advance.

I have to click in order to make the mouse move. Then I can move it for exactly 7 seconds and then I can't move it again. I have a very important computer asignment to be done in like 15 minutes. I have already used 10 minutes of the time given. So I am really[multiply by 1000] desperate. Any sugestions?

The rear two speakers of the computer will not work. I noticed this the other day (yes, they did work at one point). I know the speakers themselves work because I hooked them up to the front speaker spot and got sound out of them. The computer has SoundMAX.

Does anyone have any idea how to get the sound to come back, or is there something wrong with the subwoofer?

Any ideas are appreciated.

I was recently told I have a bad stick of RAM. Windows will not boot up, I have two sticks of RAM in my computer, 1 bad one and 1 good, how can I tell what to speed to buy? Do you have to match the sticks or can you have a 256 stick and a 512 stick?

I know that having a low amount of memory can freeze a computer but I heard somewhere that having mixed chips of RAM, like a 512 MB chip and a 256 MB chip can also make it lock up. Is this true?

It is not a decision I want to take lightly. I have workarounds once I am in Windows, but it would be nice for it to work prior to Windows loading.

If I buy a new computer with a discrete graphics chip (eg. ATI Radeon) that supports DirectX 9, when DirectX 10 or 11, etc come out, will the graphics chip manufacturer (eg. ATI) be able to release drivers for download on their website, so that games that use DirectX 10 or 11, etc, will be able to be played on the old graphics chip?

I just went out and bought a new western digital EIDE Caviar SE 7200rpm 160 gig hard drive and when i put in to my emachines T1220 desktop without the internet pluged into it i get this message saying that a media errror has occured and it asks to check the cable and i don't know what that means, when the enternet is pluged in then i get this weird message and then it says no bootfile was found. I was wondering if my pc can handle a hard drive of that size and if so what can i do to fix this?
