my USB port will only recognize my printer and my old mp3 usb. it won't recognize any new devices i plug in. i don't think it's a driver problem since the balloon doesn't even pop up indicating that the computer senses a device. so i figured that i must have pressed some thing to turn all of my ports off or something. does anyone have the same problem?!

Your problem may be that it is only a usb 1.0 and you are trying to use usb 2.0 devices.

Well, it's hokey to do so but you might consider disconnecting the printer cable and plugging in the USB device that you want the computer to recognize.

It could just be that the port has gone out of order.
