i have 1 GB pen drive but unfortunately it shown only 240 MBS and cant contain any data when ever i insert in usb it ask to format and after format if ii put some data and then again insert in usb then again it ask for format

so what i do with it for outcome from this trouble

this pen drive not HDD
i already tried formating but each and every time i required it but datat cant not save any time.

Hi, try formatting it, right click on the drive in my computer and click the format option. this will erase all data on the drive. Then try clicking "Make Compatible" if this doesn't acheive what you want it to, try downloading software updates from the manufacturer. If none of these options work, it may be faulty and your best bet is to call the manufacturers and send it to then for repairs.

then the pen drive ur using is having some problem better run scandisk or chkdsk and check it wethers its having some problem with its hardware

format it with any third party software like power quest partition magic

even memory in a pc never show the complete amount its cool
