Find out if your Motherboard (Mobo) can recognize that large of a hard drive. If it can you're in good shape. If it can't you will only see the number of Gigabytes it can read up to.
And you may need another Chip set upgrade for your Mobo or even a new Mobo to be able to recognize that large of a capacity for it to read and write to the 200 GB.

Just make sure the interfaces match up.
IDE is the older standard, using a ribbon cable.
SATA is the newer standard.
As a suggestion, try to get a 7200rpm or faster drive to make things faster.
Also, you should format the drive with NTFS, not FAT32.
