It's technically possible, but its legality is a little iffy. It's called the OSx86 project (Google it).

No you can't install mac OS/X on a IBM compatible system but you can load Linux on your new system, which is similar to the mack operating system, and it will not cost you a dime, you get all the software you will ever need to do anything you want to do, for free.

Linux is better than windows vista. If your going to
build a 64 bit system then you will need to download Linux 64 bit software for that system.

if you do some research into Linux you will find that it is used by big businesses and NASA space station so it is not rubbish like people think because it is free plus it is the back bone of the internet,

you can download it from the links below
there are several versions of Linux systems so I'll give you several sites it can be downloaded from
Ubuntu is the easiest to install and learn it will find all your hardware and set it up... unlike MS Windows
there is also a great user support and help system for new users

also do a websearch for your research

ibm+linux
hp+linux
nasa+linux
novell+linux
intel+linux
amd+linux

You probably need mac-certified parts because I don't think the Mac OS X recognizes everything Windows computer do (and vice versa)

The list would probably include RAM, Network Cards, etc.
