my cumputer stop working and i have some pics and music that i would like transfered to my new cumputer how can i do that. do i need a special wire and if i do what's the name and where can i get it?

DO NOT use automated means, if an old computer is infected, you will transfer it to the new puter. You can do it across a network with a hub or A "crossover cable" is only about 10 bucks. You can also use "sneaker net". Just copy to a flash drive and walk it across

Maybe you can save them to a disk, and then load it on the other computer?
If you have a PSP then you can put it on there and then plug a USB Cable into your new computer? If you don't have a PSP or you just can't borrow one,
then try to send it threw an e-mail from your old one too your new.

you need either a crossover cable or jus use a flash drive. you can go to any electronics store and ask for a crossover cable. all you do is plus it in the ethernet port of both computer and search for the computer in the network places. then jus set the folder as shared and your set.
