Now when I try to use my backspace key on my keyboard, it sticks and what ends up happening is that the cursor moves backwards, and all that I've typed starts getting deleted. What can I do to fix this problem? Same thing happens with the left shift key, but it isn't as big of a problem as the backspace key sticking. The keyboard is clean and I don't eat at the computer. Thanks.

I just fixed the backspace key! Thanks for the help and for telling me how to remove a key...I had no clue that a key could be removed. The pressurized air didn't fix it, so I ended up removing the key and wiping around with a cutip sprayed with Endust.

take a paper clip and unwind one end then create a small hook at the end. Hook the bad key and lift up and pop the key out. Clean whatever is under the bad key and replace by popping back in.

Take your backspace key off, then reattatch it (It'd be wise to do this when not trying to type something, You'll press half the buttons, actually, try doing this while the computer is off, or the keyboard is disconnected. This SHOULD fix the problem, if not, buy a new keyboard.

Your keyboard is dirty , have you spilled a drink or some crumbs on it? You could take it apart and clean it , but if you don't know much about that you might make things worse.

Hell just go out and buy a new keyboard. And don't eat/drink near it to resolve having that problem again.

blow some compressed air under the keys, make sure there is no dust or other dirt that may be interfering. keyboards are so cheap today, unless this is a laptop, buy a new one.

Even if you think that its clean there may be something sticky under it, maybe a friend or someone spilt something on it and didnt want to tell you. Figure out how to take the key off and clean under it.
Good Luck

Oh um...the button must be jammed or loose or something, try to use a keyboard vacuum??? Nah...

If your work gets deleted press Ctrl+Z (undo) to bring back what you've previously written...

My school pc was like that...then it went bonkers so I hit it (a stupid idea lol) then it exploded...um I just shut it off at the mains lol... ^o^
