hi, can anyone help.

iv spent ages on the phone to orange and tried loads of stuff and havent fixed the problem.

my problem is this. i have set up wired connection fine and can get on the internet. the problem comes when i try to go wireless. my lap top has built in wireless and i can connect to the livebox and it says signal exelent. the problem is that even though i can connect to the livebox it will not let me connect to the internet wirelessly.

please help if you can

i have win xp, a notino d2400 laptop, and a intel(r) pro/wireless 3945abg network adapter

I have lynskis wireless b and g router. I have tried forever to setup it up but it never worked. And i am not gunna spend 150$ to get someone to set it up. I have a laptop and desktop. And a modem.
if you could plz tell me the steps to do to set up a wireless network.

i have a samsung t619 and it has bluetooth capabilities. Can i use any bluetooth usb adapter, connect it to my comptuer and have it work with my phone? or are their only spefic kinds of bluetooth adapters that will work with a certian phone.

I have an ordinary broadband.. my broadband modem has a usb output and an ethernet output.. will my internet work if ip plug the usb to my pc and the ethernet to my xbox 360 the question is will they both have internet access simultaneously...?

I need help connecting computers with crossover cable. I have went to the icon of my local area connection and went to properties, then to internet protocol and put in the IP address, and the subnet mask. I've done this with both computers. A laptop and Desktop. One computer I put 10.1.1.1 and the other I put 10.1.1.2. I then pinged them both and they show up. I turned off my firewall and they are both connected. Why are they not showing up in my network places. Did I miss a step?

The family has started a book club group discussion forum and we wish to communicate with each other in (almost) real time instant messaging (or whatever would work best). So, how do five or six siblings accomplish this and avoid long distance calls, late-arriving emails, etc? We would like to keep it a closed (or by invitation only) discussion group. One of the participants has a dial-up connection and is "satisfied" with it.

i have a d-link airplus xtreme g wireless router. my default network requires me to put in wep. but when i'm at my uncles house it starts automatically. right now i'm using the linksys network which i use regularly at my house. at the current time it;s telling that therre is limited or no connectivity at all. any answers would be great. thank you and a happy new year.

I used two different desktops to access a network drive, s:\[some folder].

Everytime I open Picasa it updates thumbnails on folders that were marked as scan once.

I have a linksys wireless G broadband router. When u put the CD in the computer it leads u through steps to set up the router then when i get to step 8 after plugging up everything it will ask 4 a password but all u have to do is press enter cause there is already one in the password box. Then it will scan my computer and start vback over with askin my password so i press enter and it scans again. I get any farther if u can help please do.

We only have one modem but want to connect with 2 laptops at the same time. Is it as simple as just buying another broadband modem? Might there already be one on my PC, or do we have to have one hooked up to the phone line? Can we use it at the same time?

Am also looking into wireless routers, but I just wanted to see if this was an option too.

Is it possible to convince windows xp / 2000 that a network drive is a local drive (plugged in to the motherboard)? I have a program that will only run localy, and I need it to run from a mapped drive.

we have a netgear wireless router and a 2mb tiscali internet connection (soon to be 8mb). i want to know if i can limit it so the 4 computers at home never each use more than 1/4 of the bandwidth at a time?? when browsing the internet, all 4 computers work fine but if someone starts downloading a large file, they will have a download rate of 100kb/s, for example, and then all the other computers internet runs too slow to use.

the same thing happens if someone is playing a game online.

any ideas what i can do to make each computer use the bandwidth equally.

but before it ends the downloading stops(i usually use DAP download accelerator plus)and it says broken link.What does broken link mean?
