I'm only a webmaster, and I installed a block of source code to read the stats; these stats reveal IP addresses, and I got one which reads 127.0.0.1. However, since my IP address is blocked, what does this mean? Is someone pinging me?

I am new to the wireless world of networking. I currently have a HP Media Center PC, in which I have a sattellite dish connected to the PC. I also have a simple Dell Laptop. Lastly, I have a Sony 46" BRAVIA™ XBR® LCD Flat Panel HDTVKDL-46XBR2 with a S-Sub 15 Rear PC Imput. My goal is to network my home computer to my laptop via a Linksys SpeedBooster 802.11g Wireless Broadband Router. I am wondering, in order to maximize my Media Center usuage, If I can use that same router or do I need to find something completely different to hook up my TV, in order to view shows I recorded on my computer on my Television?

I just got a cable modem. I tried connecting to modem using an Ethernet cable but the software didn't detect a connection. I was forced to connect via USB 2.0 and it worked. My computer has a 10/100 Ethernet card; so, I am at a loss as to what the problem may be. Any help is greatly appreciated.

I paid the geek squad to hook up my home network for $159 They told me before hand that this would include makeing my laptop be able to see my main computer and print on the net work. They came and where here for about 30mins hooked up my wireless network. and then told me they couldnt get my brand new laptop to see my network. and that they can come back for and extra $90 to fix the problem. Is this a scam to get more money. Or is my main computer junk and they really couldnt get it to work. Do you think I should get something back in return? Because they dint do the job they told me they were going to do in the store?
