I had a wireless router G, and I bought G+... I have the same stupid speed, wHY!?

WIreslly, with my netgear "G", i get 54mbps and 2.5mb/s internet speed.
I bought a G+, it is supposed to be faster than nomal G's, I am getting 36mbps and 2.5mb/s
Why?? Speed is supposed to change... or at least be better... What is wrong here??

There are two parts to the wireless; the access point (your router) and the network card. In order for you to see an improved wireless speed, they both must be G+.

If the network card is G+ and the router is only G, you'll only get G speed. This is also true in the reverse; a G+ router and a G card will only do G speed. And, if both the router and card are G+ but some other G device connects, many routers automatically switch to G mode because it won't do both G and G+ at the same time.

But now you're getting slower speed? Could be that the quality of the card (or router) is not as good and the netgear? Is there more interference? In a different location?
