How do I get started with wireless interent?

My laptop all ready has wireless networking card installed but, What other type of hardware do I also need AND what wireless internet providers can I get If I live in Marysville, CA.

Many people are confusing home wireless networking and "Wireless Internet" as one and the same; they are not.

So, assuming you are referring to wireless internet (wireless broadband), I've found that the wireless card in my machine cannot be used for those services. I had to acquire a special card by the provider. Contact your providers; look in the yellow pages and call your wireless phone providers.

Wireless home networking on the other hand... you'd need to obtain a wireless router and connect that to your broadband connection. A simple and inexpensive thing to do.
