It's an e-mail address. It usually ends in @hotmail.com, or @msn.com.

It doesn't look like anything. It's what Microsoft calls your user account. Yahoo does not have a fancy name for it, they simply call it My Account. The reason Microsoft calls it a "passport" is because your same user name and password can be used on msn.com, match.com, mlb.com, encarta.com and a whole host of other websites that Microsoft has partnered with. A Passport email ends with @hotmail.com or @msn.com
