and set it all up to my main PC by ethernet cable connection ( i.e. not wirelessly. We have now put our second PC alongside ( which is already wireless equipped ) but been unable to connect this wirelessly. However when we connect the second PC to the modem/router with another ethernet cable, internet access is fine. My question is will the modem/router still identify each PC as a different unit for purposes of email etc?

Just bought a new HP 14.1 notebook and I took it with me to my parents' house. They didn't have a router so I couldn't roam around with my notebook as I usually do. However, I noticed that their neighbor had a unsecured wireless network and when I tried clicking on it, it wouldn't even attempt to connect. Is there something wrong with my notebook's wireless card or what? Can anyone help?

The notebook's URL on bottom

Ok,i've had this 2wire modem router since august. And I have had problems with it.At first when i was using it i was using it with the normal way which was install the software and then plugged my pc and xbox 360 up to it,but there was one problem,The 2wire unit would constantly disconnect and bring a red light up almost as if it was resetting.Yahoo techs told me not to keep the unit next to speakers or any metal objects with electrical outputs which is utter b.s.,So i'm wondering this.Instead of using the modem part of the 2 wire would'nt i be able to use the router part of the unit along with my speed stream so that way i would'nt get disconnected at all and still be able to hook my mom pc and 360 up and anything else.Cuz when i hook my speed stream up i dont get no problems but only with the 2wire unit.Any help is greatly appreciated.

... so I can't get onto it and change the network and ISP settings. Anyone have a good idea about how to hack into it? Faced with throwing it away and buying a new one if not. I have found a default .cfg file but I don't know how to upload it.
