I'm having a problem...I just started a WIRELESS home network...I have a Netgear wireless G router, a desktop PC with Netgear Wirless adapter card, a older IBM Laptop with 2001 wireless card, and a new HP printer....my problem is this
My Desktop is attached to the network at 108Mbps, and I can access the internet and printer.....now with the laptop, it tells me I am attached to the network at 11Mbps (i assume because it is an older card in it, maybe a B type card)...but problem is my laptop won't let me connect to the internet...I've tried everything...it shows an ECELLENT connection to the network, but I cannot for the life of me connect to the internet.....

if I am able to connect to the router shouldn't I be able to connect to the internet???? HELP PLEASE?????

I still don't get it. People define the two terms, but they don't explain it throughly.

I've seen the way machines are connected so that they form a bus, ring, star, mesh.

So, I was thinking these 4 topologies are always "physical" b/c physical topology concerns with the way machines are connected.

But, then again, I've read that there're also logical Bus and logical Ring. Does this mean the 4 topologies can be both "physical" and "logical"?

Greetings,

I have an ad-hoc wireless network in my home and need remote modem-on-hold. I live in a rural area where there are far more deer than people, with no chance of a broadband connection being offered by my phone company.

My wife and I both run businesses out of our home that require us to be on the internet a great deal through our 56k dialup connection. Clients occasionally call, and though we have the "Callwave" service and tried similar services they are not really what we need.

I am looking for a way that any of the computers on the network can use the modem-on-hold v.92 feature so that any home network user can answer the call by voice even though the modem in use is on the network server as an ICS internet gateway. All computers are running XP Pro.

Anyone know how this can be done?

Thanks in advance

I have Tata Indicom Dial up connection with a speed of 56 kbps. But each time I connect to the net I get a speed of 9 to 26 Kbps. I Make a complaint to them and they people make some setting in my system which are not usefull to speed of 56 kbps. Anyone can check the same if he is using the Dialup connection. Can some one help me. It means I Pay for 100 Hours but get only 40 to 50 hours. It is a cheating to the comunity. Will some one make a Writt Petition about this to solve the matter.
Regards
