uh, vague question
but just so you know, xp home and xp pro do not allow more than 10 connections, so if you are using xp pro as a file server of sorts, dont expect to have more than 10 connections or computers with mapped drives connecting at a time

Get a HUB (having output as per u require).
Connect a code (non-coded) between Server and Hub.
U'll get server connected to hub.
Now In the o/p section of the hub connect as many computers as per o/p area with non-coded wires.
or
Get 31 wireless network cards and connect 1 to server and others to clients.
The upper one is more cheaper.
Use Windows Server 2003 on Server.

I would create wireless link by getting an access point, then on every pc put a pci wireless networkcard,or network all pcs using cat 5 cable connected from pcs to the switch(48 port switch)including the server.Give them all the same ip address range and subnet mask.
