I have a Brother MFC-3240C Printer currently hooked up and shared on my PC with Windows XP. I'm trying to get the other two MAC computers to be able to print which are hooked up via a router.

I have managed to get as far as locating the network, and adding printer name on one of the MACs. But after spooling, the printing fails or never prints. I can see the document queued on my PC, but that's as far as it goes.

What am I doing wrong? How can I get it to work?

I have just bought a usb to ethernet adaptor for my computer so that i can setup wireless internet with the router i have just bought. My computer doesnt have a ethernet port, so thats why i needed to buy a adaptor. I have to download the driver for the adaptor off the internet, which i did fine, but i can not install the driver, because the file types is .sys. And will not open on my computer so i cant setup the wireless internet. Does anyone know if the is a way to get .sys files to run on computer? oR make the adaptor work?

Is going from Windows NT 4.0 to Windows 2000 Active Directory really worth the time and effort? The current network works fine and we only have about 20 users.

I have a brand new Dell laptop with a Dell 1370 Internal Wireless (802.11b/g, 54Mbps5) and an older desktop. I want to hookup the laptop wirelessly.

I know I need a router and a wireless access point. However, I would also like to have a firewall in there.

Do all routers have firewall protection in them?

Is there any type of firewall/ router wireless access point product on the market that has all three in one?

My laptop works on a wireless connection. I want to share the connection from the PC upstairs to my new laptop. It allows all the other information like the ip address and subnet mask e.t.c. just not the gateway or DNS server address. I've took the firewall off just in case that wasn't allowing anything to come through. My laptop is an Acer aspire 5102WLMi if that helps thanks!
