They suck both and they aren't used anymore in industry because they are not secure. Your password is sent on the network in a text mode. So anybody can get your password with a packet sniffer such as WireShark.

Go with SSH or SFTP

Yup they both suck. HyperTermnial(samething) is what I use if I can't find anything with ssh support.

Talent is used to connect to devices and configure them. It's old and has been replaced. I used it to connect to Cisco routers to program them back in the day.

FTP is a program that allows you to send files. It'a actually a Protocol in the TCP/IP suit that describes how to send a file. FTP programs use the protocol for sending and uploading files.

Telnet lets you log in to other computers remotely. +

FTP lets you transfer files to and from other computers. +

Both telnet and ftp transfer the login information and data in the clear, unencrypted. Someone snooping on the network can see your login name and password. -

SSH sets up encrypted data transfer and logins and is more secure.

My parents never say or show directly that they are strict...but i should follow few rules laid down by my dad.i cannot break them and he give name to those rules as part of up-bringing,which i really not able to understand the difference. ~few rules are appreciated because those rules made me strong and i gained good name around my circle of friends nd relatives. but i hardly get opportunity to interact with people and understand about today's world. ~they don't mind me being modern but my mom never allow me to wear dresses as i wish. she never say anything directly but she stare at me long and i have to change. over all being restricted by parents are good to some extent but controlling children in all the aspects make us timid, introvert and scary humans.
