I have a ADSL modem with USB port. My wireless Router has Ethernet ports. My system is presently connected thro USB only. MLaptop has wireless access. I need help to connect the above so that I use the Laptop from any place inside my house.

the computer is about 80 meters away from the LAN (6 computers in 1 room each connected to the hub by a length of CAT5 cable). I understand I'll need 2 NIC with phone jacks instead of ethernet jacks to connect the computer to another on the LAN using the telephone line. But will it work? or do I have to go wireless (no direct line of sight with lots of obstructions) or install ethernet cable (too much work)?

I've got some files of unknown origin with the .psf extension. The
first few bytes of each file are "FSPA^C", where ^C is control-C. How can I view these files on unix or windows?

which in turn connects to a dlink modem which provides internet for the house. The problem is that we have one rogue PC that is downloading constantly and is eating all avaliable bandwidth which makes viewing webpages very slow. Is their anyway I can control the amount of information that this person can download. We dont have a server setup all are stand alone so to speak. any help suggestions would be appreciated.

I recently installed the VISTA beta in order to test new features. First My pcanywhere has version problem with VISTA, and i couldnot find a way to Remote Desktop from ny network, or outsite with IP address. any help would be greatly appreciated.

i have a great laptop thanks gd and the internet has always been extremly fast and great however for the past 2 days it takes forever for things to load and go from page to page and the main comp in the house- where the wireless thing is connected to is still rly fast much faster than my comp. and in the corner it pops up that a network cable has been unlugged...maybe thats the cause of the slowness?? but i dont know anything bout computers and laptops so how do i make it all fast and good again?? help would be appreciated...prize goes to the one who helps me out the best and fixes my probelm...thanks a bunchers have a great nite!!

ok plz. ive been looking everywhere. im in a pc club and one of my assignments is to create a multicast bootable disk. i know that u need ghost 6.o or something and i tried to find it everywhere ( exept the norton site, which u have to put personal info to get it, and i dont want 2) so plz if some1 knows how to do it plz tell me!!!
