Hi guys.

I have a laptop turion but only 2 USB ports. My internet connection is through cable broadband.

My question is: Is it possible to have a wireless router and connect all my USB devices to it?

I want the freedom of moving the laptop around the house. But connect devices like mouse and printer to the router.

I noticed that the wireless routers have additional ethernet ports but what I need is additional USB ports.

Can anyone help?

i need to wirelessly share my internet to ther rooms in the house, I already have a network hub connected to the broadband modem.
The Question:
Do I need a wireless router? or Just an access point to connect to the Hub?
whats the difference? is the router faster? (considering Access points is cheaper with the same speed ratings)

My computer hv been working well with the 3Com Switch for quite a long time. Suddenly one day it just can't connected to the LAN, after several trial and error, found out if I change the NIC's link speed to 10Mbps it works, but failed if I changed it back to 100Mbps or Auto Detect Mode. The same is true if I change the link speed of the switch port. Could there any one guru explain to me what it is going on? how can I solve it, I wanna connected at 100Mbps rather than 10Mbps. Thank you for any help.

Using a speedstream dsl router + Linksys wireless card.
Bandwidth test on wired computer is 4.1 megabits/s, while wireless is only 827 kilobits/s. The wireless connection also takes a decrease when downloading on the wired computer. Signal strength is good. Is there any way to divide the bandwidth evenly between the two machines?

Please help. I installed my own wireless broadband, but it displays as 'unsecured' on my display. I have been told that its dangerous to have an unsecured network, and wish to make it secured - so nobody else can use it. How is this done?

A few months ago I ordered a Westwell 327w for Verizon DSL, since then I have lost the installation CD.

I am about to re-do my computer, and I need 2 know Is there a way I can install the DSL without the CD?

Or if not how can I order another 1?

I really want 2 hurry, & do it without the CD though..

I have 2 Domains, lets say domain. com and domain.org. Domain.org was purchased thru Yahoo! I would like to transfer this domain to my web server IP in my network. I have gone into the proper panel and renamed the name server but being I had only 1 Ip to give it as a name server it was rejected.

I have a netgear WGR614v6 router connected to a desktop (wired) and wireless access for a laptop and another desktop. The laptop connects fine. The remote desktop connects to the network, but cannot access the internet. The error is 'limited or no connectivity' and when I ran ipconfig, the IP address is 169.254.166.223, which is obviously incorrect. I've tried reinstalling the adapter and software, manually configuring the IP address, rebooting the router and computer, etc.....nothing seems to fix the problem. The desktop which has the problem is connecting using wireless B, while the laptop is wireless G. The router is setup to allow both.

Anyone out there have any suggestions?

I cannot configure my new wireless network

I have just purchased a new router and it is a netgear WGR614 v6

when i go to the wireless network connection in the control panel there is nothing but this in the list:

Windows cannot configure this wireless connection

If you have enabled another program to manage this wireless connection, use that software

If you want Windows to configure this wireless connection, start the Wireless Zero Configuration (WZC) service. For information about starting the WZC service, see article 871122 in the Microsoft Knowledge Base on the microsoft .com Web Site.

However even when i have turn on WZC it still is not working!!!!

The router and internet connection are fine as i can see the wireless light on and the router can transfer internet stuff to my other computer through cable

So anyway, plz help me and that would be very appreciateful.

I have a 2wire modem the 1701 model and when i hook it up to my computer the power light turns green the lan light turns green but the broadband link light stays orange which pretty much means that theres is no connection does anyone know anyway to fix it so i can connect to the internet. Im on another computer right now so this is how i can connect to the internet.

Hello, I have a home network with 3 computers. 2 computers need to connect to a pptp vpn at one destination and the third computer needs to connect to another location. vpn connection sharing only allows the first 2 computers to connect to the first destination and third computer cannot connect to its vpn connection. Thanks
