I have a Powermac G4 with a built in Airport wireless internet card.

My roomate has a Dell laptop that sits directly next to my computer on the same desk, but he uses a Linksys plug-in wireless card that sticks out of the side of his computer.

We have free internet in my apartment building. I get full signal almost all of the time. He has 1 bar all the time or no connection at all sometimes.

Why? Is it because Applle is better than PC? haha

I have a Dell Inspiron 5150 laptop with a Dell Wireless WLAN 1350 WLAN Mini-PCI Card. I just set up 108 MBPS wireless router but am still only able to connect at 54 MBPS speed. I was told there may be a way to increase the capacity on my computer but I need to be sure that my wireless adapter can support a faster speed and I'm not sure where to look to check that.
