I have a Dell Inspiron 5150 laptop with a Dell Wireless WLAN 1350 WLAN Mini-PCI Card. I just set up 108 MBPS wireless router but am still only able to connect at 54 MBPS speed. I was told there may be a way to increase the capacity on my computer but I need to be sure that my wireless adapter can support a faster speed and I'm not sure where to look to check that.

The Inspiron 5150 ships with an 802.11G card, maximun speed of 54mbps. Not the superG 108mbps. You would have to replace the card with a superG to get the additional speed.
