I had to destroy all my old files and restart my computer a month ago. Since then, whenever I had to install software that required me to be connected to the internet, my computer says it's not connected to the internet. I can't watch videos on the internet cuz WMV say there's not a connection to the internet. Have anyone been through this? What do I have to do to connect my computer to the internet?.

It can go many hours at 54 Mbits/sec and excellent/very good strength and then go all over the place, even as low as 9 M/sec. Doesn't seem to matter what time of day!? This is the link between the router and a remote computer. I like to listen to streaming radio and it also will occasionally drop for a second or more!? Sometime stop completely, requiring restarting ..... Live365.com

I've 2 computers all runing xp pro with a dsl connection on one. they'r connected directly without a hub thus using the crossover cable. after setting up the network, i recieve an error of network path was not found. from my observation, the computer which has the dsl connection is able to view the members in the workgroup but cannot access them. i've tried configuring them manually, renew ip address and disable the svchost services but the problem seem not to be solved. please help me resolve this menance.

I have a computer problem at work. First it would not load during start up. So we had the local computer guy come and "fix" it. Now it will not install network programs. It freezes while installing. I think the computer has some serious crashing issues due to it being the computer that holds all the programs on our network. I have brought it up with my boss many times that we need a seperate computer for the programs but she states everything is fine and we just need to reinstall programs. Which we can't! What is your opinion on what we should do?

My school had a power cut and the generators didn't kick in so my entire schools power was down...got home and tried to access some coursework through an easylink via the website to my area on the school network, and it doesn't work. Wondering if that powercut affected the network even though it's back up now?

I think someone may be leeching off our wireless DSL router - or maybe something more devious - I am not sure

I wouldn't care if someone was just borrowing bandwidth but since this is a work computer I think it would be best to boot them off the network

how?
